SDU-0016 looks visibly annoyed, taking a deep breath and glaring at Dr. ████ before continuing.
SDU-0015: It's Miss. Miss Ness.
Dr. ██████: Apologies, Ms. Ness. May we continue now?
SDU-0015: Yeah, sure. I want to help find a cure, just like everyone else. Why else would I want to work here?

Winona Ness, born Lottie Kai Ness, was the first-born daughter in a long line of men on her Father's side. Her rise to fame began at the age of 19- as one of the youngest Elusion Boxing Association champions. Growing up, Winona had always been athletic and strong- kickboxing, wrestling, boxing, you name it and she loved it. So it was no suprise when she made a name for herself at 19- taking the name Winona, a pet name her great grandmother had for her growing up.
She had her son, Lucas Ness at 21, and dedicated her life to taking care of and supporting him. Boxing didn't quite bring in a lot of cash, but she saved every penny she could for the five or so years she spent in the ring, which was plenty to get a small place near the center of Shatterglass for her and her beloved son, the "Luke Ness Monster"
So the irony of him becoming monstrous after the blast hit was ridiculous. He died at six years old, within a month of the accident, in Prismshard, his internal organs shrinking to the size of a smaller mammal's, unable to support his body. And from then on, Winona dedicated her life to finding a cure. She's spent the last ten years with STaR, Watching the company warp into the monster corporation it is today.
