Once a naive and kind, if not lazy chimaerid, and an extremely minor noble within his home kingdom, Cyrus eventually became wrapped up and manipulated in a political ploy that left him in (literal) tatters by the end of it, with Cyrus barely escaping without being maimed. Using the powers of stolen magic and months of long boiling resentment, Cyrus now travels partially in his enigmatic human form, plotting slowly boiling revenge against the people who had hurt and manipulated him- in a sad way, he's become a lot like them, going from kind if not gullible to full of lies and self-centered pursuit, and even one-track minded at points. At the surface level in the very least, there's only cynicism and aloof loathing- but perhaps the original, kind fledgling he used to be is still within him. 

Perhaps not. He's quite bitter, and it's not pretty.
