Born Alone

Io was born to two young teens, the two decided it was best that the "mother" kept the child as Io's dad wasn't known for sticking around long. They were raised by their "mom" and their parents and grew up to be a proud defender of their world. As time passed on their magical abilities far surpassed those in their rank and soon it came clear they'd take on the role of the soul defender on worlds in their distrect of space.

Personality

As much as people talk up the "Great Defender", Io is a very hyperactive kalon. They're very brave and unfocused, often keeping a one-track mind when it comes to talking with people. They try their best to avoid conversations with people, as it often gets weird withen minutes of talking. After getting past the wall that's held to stop them getting attached to people, they're a nice person to chat. Full of jokes and helpful tips.

Childhood

Io was born to two teenagers, their "mother" Ezi and their father, Cross. Cross was a traveler of worlds as he introduced himself to Ezi and by accident they had Io. Cross didn't stay for long, leaving long before Ezi had given birth to Io. Io grew up under the care of Ezi and their mother and father who hadn't had the heart to give away the child. Io was treated just like any kid, but they were differen't from others. They had the bloodline of kalons, a species native to the well known Earth pumping through their vains. They had taken up great interest in their studies at school of exploring space, and hoped to one day set out in a space-craft to explore unknown planets and life forms. Their studies however, landed them in a class of advanced minded kits. A few were to be hand selected and trained in magic to fight for and protect their planet. Io was one of the "lucky" kits to be choosen. Despite this they never gave up hope of one day being able to explore the universe. Their life in training was a lot more grueling, as every day they woke up and learned a new spell. You'd think learning magic would be fun, but every spell was something more dangerous then the last. Io once again shun in their studies, excelling far past their peers. Many were impressed with their abilities at such a young age and soon they had ranked up to adult level studies. It was clear that they were gifted in many-ways that they didn't want to but that didn't stop people from praising them and claiming them to be the destined protected on their worlds.

Stephen

Not long after becoming the "destined" protector of their world, did a mysterious being come to visit their small planet. He came cloaked in a red cape. He seemed friendly in stance, and was very calming when he spoke. He had caused quiet the stir in the community when he came asking about Io, looking to speak with them. After Io had finally agreed to meet with the man, he introduced himself as Stephen. He spoke about his travels to get to the planet, and his worries in unable to find someone to train with to take the place of the newly sick Lady of Mass. She was close to dying after being seriously injured in a fight to keep the peace between realms, and she hasn't long to give her powers up to a bright new student. Stephen had traveled far and wide, yet non he had meet seemed as promising to him as Io was and so he offered them the seat at the Elemental Lords and Ladies. Io was taken aback by the offer and was shocked by the stranger story, yet they were intrigued and accepted.
