She was captured and researched into her young adulthood, at which time she escaped the research facility and fled into the city, becoming a creature of the night. Using the skills she’d gained being raised by the doctor, she hunted down humans by way of trickery and magic. Eventually, she became known as a night dwelling monster of the back alleys and was hunted. She came to be found by a member of the D’Arenzio family, who captured her and brought her before the boss, Monitore D’Arenzio. The two of them came to an arrangement, and she now works as a hired guard and general task-doer. Kitzrow is blind, as she has no eyes, so she navigates by sensing heat signatures and movement tremors. Her clothes are picked out by one of Monitore’s secretaries. | |||||||||||||||||||||

ABILITIES Kitzrow is known by the D’Arenzio family and those who come into contact with her to be able to teleport. In reality, she is not capable of teleportation. She is able to camouflage and become nearly invisible, as well as move at incredible speeds. While camouflaged, she can also control her body temperature somewhat. She is also capable of spitting a corrosive acid-like venom created from glands in her throat. She can sense movement and heat around her rather than being able to see. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

Year 21XX, Month July, Day 9
Dr. Kitzerow embarked on a volcanic expedition through the recesses of The Pike following irregular vapor activity readings. His team, composed of five field scientists, discovered a crack through which sounds could be heard [...] Therein the expedition found signs of life [...] Several humanoid-like beings were discovered to be living in the volcanic recesses [...] Dr. Kitzerow has brought back several youths to research. He hopes they will be able to shed some light on the magical disturbances and chemical releases we’ve been recording.
Year 21XX, Month July, Day 14
Day 1.
The facilities for what Dr. Kitzerow has named the “Homo-Arac-Kitzerowen”- the HAK, has been completed. The 11 specimens that he has brought back are all being housed in a zoo-like enclosure beneath the quality testing facility, beneath SubSurface01 [...] Three researchers are stationed in shifts to observe the specimens around the clock. Only Dr. Kitzerow is allowed direct contact with the younglings [...] The sedatives have worn off and the younglings have shown shyness in their behavior [...] Physically, they are not dissimilar to an underweight human child in size. Day 30.
The efforts of Dr. Kitzerow to teach the younglings commands has been met with leaps and bounds of progress. Where they were initially being trained with sprayed water and blows, they have begun responding to verbal commands, such as “down” and “off”. They are very responsive to “meal”. They have been clicking at each other and at the Dr. [...] Attempts to translate their clicks have been unsuccessful.
Year 21XX, Month October, Day 2
Day 88.
The Homo Arac-Kitzerowen younglings have shown the ability to mimic human speech. Several have begun stringing coherent sentences. Their capabilities are beyond speech comprehension. Previously, they were thought to have dog level speech comprehension [...] HAK-002, 005, 007, and 010 have successfully created coherent sentences. All but HAK-004 and HAK-003 have shown the ability to form sentence-like strings of words.
HAK-002 has taken a liking to Dr. Kitzerow. It has been learning much faster than the others. When he enters the enclosure, it will approach him readily and sometimes even sit in his lap.
Year 21XX, Month December, Day 19
Day 166.
The HAK younglings have grown considerably since their initial observations, nearly doubling in size. HAK-002 and 008 have grown the quickest and largest of the specimens. HAK-001 and 004 have not grown in the same way, being smaller than the others [...] The runts often cower when passing by the larger younglings. [...] The schematics for a larger containment area have been proposed. Dr. Kitzerow has asked for funding for more interactive items to be placed in their enclosure and for each specimen to have a dedicated measuring station. It seems unlikely that we will receive the funding.
Year 21XX, Month February, Day 22
Day 231.
There has begun a power struggle in the HAK enclosure [...] Today HAK-004 and 008 engaged in a fight. Dr. Kitzerow was away from the facility, and none of the techs had clearance to enter the enclosure in order to break the encounter up. HAK-004 was mauled viciously. Its condition is unstable and it is unsure if it will survive the night. The others have been avoiding HAK-008 as it parades around the enclosure. The only specimen bold enough to cross its path is HAK-002. The two of them have been “staring” each other down and clicking. When they get near each other while HAK-008 paces, they each spread their dew claws as far apart as possible and hiss and click. No physical altercations have arisen.
Year 21XX, Month February, Day 23
Day 232.
HAK-004 passed in the night. The other specimens stayed as far away from it as possible as it died. HAK-002 and 008 did not engage, but maintained attention on each other from opposite ends of the enclosure [...] Will not be able to clear the corpse until Dr. Kitzerow returns on the 25th.
Year 21XX, Month March, Day 8
Day 246.
Tensions between HAK-002 and 008 have mounted. Since HAK-004’s death, not even Dr. Kitzerow has dared to enter the enclosure after removing its corpse. HAK-002 and 008 have been engaging physically in combat [...] HAK-002 has shown incredible, explosive speed in its attacks, and HAK-008 has shown tremendous power. Both are cunning and use the environment to their advantage. The other HAKs run from them when they are near, hissing as they flee. [...] HAK-011 was caught in a small scuffle and its leg appears to be broken.
Year 21XX, Month May, Day 10
Day 308.
The glass in the enclosure has been reinforced from the outside with metal supports. The door has been replaced with a reinforced cell door and a feeding apparatus. Safety measures have been installed by adding fire doors to all glass surfaces [...] HAK-007 died this morning during the meal session for coming too close to HAK-008. This leaves only 4 specimens left in the enclosure- HAK-002, 003, 008, and 010 [...] The altercation this morning left cracks in the newly reinforced glass [...] Visual contact was lost on HAK-002 for several minutes. The techs are working on reading the heat sensor outputs to try and track it.

NuGen Testing Facility SubSurface03
Signs of internal struggle [...] Several corpses of NuGen scientists scattered around the rubble of the testing facility. Some appear to have been crushed in the rubble, some appear to have been mauled by a large animal [...] The remains of an enclosure appear to have been destroyed by a bomb. Claw-like scratches carved into the floor [...] Skeletons and a full corpse of an unknown creature were recovered [...] The head of this facility, Dr. Kitzerow, was nowhere to be found. Further investigation into the disappearance of Dr. Kitzerow and his involvement in the demolition of the underground facility is needed. At this time, cause of destruction is unknown.
