Caliburn

Caliburn is Prince of the Storm Dragons that roost in the Stormswept Mountains, a mountain range that protects the unspoiled lands of the fae from human encroachment. Blessed with primal power, the storm dragons have long defended the border, though not entirely for altruistic reasons, as their territory is the first in line if humans were ever to invade. Nonetheless, they take great pride in their duty and lived on amicable terms with the fair folk for many generations. Until a respected dragon named Fulminous inflamed the resent and greed of his brethren, arguing that the fae owed their peace and prosperity to the dragons. The dragons began to extend their reach beyond the mountains, laying claim to vast swathes of land and demanding tribute from the locals. Territorial disputes quickly erupted, and soon the unicorn lord, who ruled the hills and woods beneath the mountains, arrived to mediate the conflict. Together with Gwyn the Stormlord, Caliburn's father, they quelled the rebels and forced Fulminous into exile. As a gesture of good will, the unicorn lord offered his youngest son, Avalon, in marriage to Gwyn's heir, Caliburn. The two now live together in Caliburn's abode, his home until his father is unable to lead and Caliburn assumes the Throne of Thunder.
