Personality

Quite the mystery, Odin doesn't seem to express himself often. On top of being selectively mute, Odin rocks an incredibly stoic face, making him difficult to read. He doesn't seem to mind, though, or maybe he doesn't notice he's like this.

However, all of this only applies when Odin is actually awake! Odin spends the majority of his time sleeping his life away. His family jokes saying that he could sleep through an earthquake, though they quickly realized he most likely would. He is the definition of a 100-year nap.

Story

Teal and Thursday were excited to be expecting mothkittens, even more so when they realized they would be having two. Teal was especially excited to have another mothcat in the household that he could maybe talk to without silent replies like he gets from his mate. The two, eager to meet their new bundles of joy, were quick to prepare their home for their mothkittens and waited patiently for the cocoons to hatch.

The first one to hatch was a brown mothkitten with Teal's feathered wings. His markings reminded his fathers of a finch, so they decided to name him just that--Finch. While they were relishing in the moment of their firstborn, though, they hadn't heard the cracking open of the second cocoon. By the time they had turned to check on it, the second mothkitten was rubbing at his eyes and already preparing for a nap. Looking at the kitten with amusement, the fathers named him Odin.

And that's all there really is to say about Odin's life. Why? Because he's almost always sleeping. In fact, his life is so uneventful that his own family sometimes forgets about him due to him sleeping nearly 24/7. He doesn't really mind it, though. He enjoys his sleep, and that's all that matters.

When he is awake, Odin is often found pulled into his brother's antics and becoming a type of witness to all of the problems Finch causes. He doesn't ever vouch for his troublesome brother, though, rather keeping out of the drama. If he's not with Finch, he's probably spending time with his dad, Thursday.

Thursday - Father

200x200

Odin is very close to Thursday as both father and son and best friends. It's actually due to Thursday that Odin doesn't talk, despite the fact that he very well could. Odin likes how quiet it can be with Thursday as it makes it easier to sleep, but he also just enjoys the comfortable silence that they have when they're together. It's a lot different from dealing with his brother or Teal.

In fact, it was Thursday's lack of hearing that ultimately caused Odin's selective mutism. He had decided that if his dad can't hear him, he had no reason to talk. He loves his dad very much, and he is rarely seen without Thursday.

Teal - Father

200x200

Although he's definitely not on the top of Odin's favorites list, he still loves Teal. He's his father, after all. Teal doesn't seem to mind the fact that Odin sleeps the majority of his life away, and Odin appreciates that his father doesn't interfere with it. Not to mention Teal is big and fluffy, making him an ideal pillow.

When Odin is awake, he enjoys spending time with Teal. His father, for the most part, is very fun to spend time with. He is certainly not the same as Thursday, but that's what makes him endearing, too.

Finch - Brother

200x200

Being the complete opposite of Odin, Finch is a force to be reckoned with. Maybe it's something to do with his energy or needs to always be in the action, but Odin tends to stay out of Finch's business. He loves his brother, yes, but he becomes a bit too much for Odin most of the time.

During those times where Finch isn't being a complete nuisance, Odin enjoys his time. The two are still brothers, and Odin believes they should still stick together. One day he may need Finch's support, after all.
