Twilight

In a nightstand drawer you find a journal, with pages so yellowed from age, you marveled at how it still stayed together instead of crumbing at your touch. You gently flip through the pages until you come across an interesting entry. "Twilight is a trickster being, but I wouldn't go as far as to say she is a god or deity. She is more of an immortal being, with powers mostly beyond my understanding. She chooses to observe mortal races because she finds the drama of those with shorter lifespans than her own to be fascinating and amusing, or so she's told me. I've no clue if she takes forms other than her normal cat form, or where she goes when she's not with me, but she's given me her power of being able to fast-travel through shadows. Over the years I've been able to mostly get the hang of this ability, despite not being born with it and having difficulties with it at first. She makes a loyal companion despite the snarky attitude she gives off around strangers." You read the inside front cover in hopes of finding the name of the author, but the only things you can make out are the initials 'LTM'.

Twilight was born to Avra Myastan and Cloud of Distant Rain clan, a dragonborn paladin and a tabaxi rogue, both of whom were forgers of powerful swords known as the Swords of Answering. Cloud was the clan leader of the Distant Rain clan, and when both of her parents died, she was five years old. The clan took to raising her on her own, and when she was of age she became the official Clan leader. She married at age 19 to Storm, a lion Tabaxi, and had two kits with him. At age 23, she left home with her grandfather (on her mother's side) to seek out rumors of an island with a mage who knew how to unlock immortality. When she arrived at the island and spoke to the mage, he decided she was worthy and performed the ritual, not informing her that the drawback would be that she would fall into a coma that would span 100 years. Panicked and not knowing what was wrong, her grandfather got her back onto the boat and attempted to sail back home in the middle of a terrible storm. Unfortunately, the ship crashed, and Twilight awoke 100 years later on the shore of a small island, alone with the ship wreck and her grandfather's corpse. Her husband and kits had died in war some time after she'd left.
