Hyperion (it/its) is the onboard AI of the Hyperion interstellar research ship. It controls the ship's mechanical systems, as well as having several robotic "avatars" it can use to navigate throughout the ship. Hyperion is silent and seemingly unemotional, focused entirely on maintaining the ship and assisting the researchers on board. Following a mysterious disaster, the ship is left severely damaged, with no human survivors accounted for. Hyperion, who lost most of its memories due to the damage sustained in the disaster, is left with no other purpose than to unravel the mystery of its own near-destruction.
