Comet-creechers - OPEN SPECIES

idea for this concept i had a while ago
i shared the idea with friends but i don't think they made anything of it that they released, if they did let me know and i'll take this down
i tried to make mine a unique take on it though but i understand regardless

comet-creechers or comets are little fluffy aliens that fly around space, leaving trails of sparkling energy behind them forming a unique trail. they look like shooting stars from a distance. some believe the idea of shooting stars granting wishes come from them, as their cosmic energies are strong enough to reach feats most creatures cannot, and some cultures share stories of them doing exactly that in a time of need. these creatures aren't an intelligent or advanced race in the sense they can form societies, but they're incredibly smart in terms of animals. they aren't really good pets unless you travel the universe a lot, as they're very active and love to fly great distances. comets live as nomads, always exploring to their little hearts content. these creatures usually keep their eyes closed, only opening them when releasing strong energy, witnesses say their eyes hold in them a beautiful galaxy.
