Drew’s father; Marian’s husband / widower

Drew wants to keep him safe and regularly calls him to warn about various horrific beasts prowling about. Basil does not understand any of it but likes hearing from his son. 

whenever Basil tries to communicate via writing or in a text conversation, it will always seem incredibly ominous (ie. “It’s all gone...” whenever he forgets where he put his keys, “The plane went down...” whenever a relative’s flight lands). he never intends to scare anyone but it always happens anyway
