A war veteran and real-life cowboy, Ryder was embraced at some point in the 1800's by a fellow cowboy. He'd join his Sire's pack of homoerotic cowboy vampires, along with his younger sister who he'd later embrace to save her life. For a century or so, Ryder, his sister and his pack roamed the country, content and happy in the bonds they'd formed with one another. Some nights they'd wander towns and gander at cities, others they'd roam wild lands in animal form as coyotes.

However, a few decades ago, Ryder and his younger sister were separated from their pack, leaving them alone to find their own way about. The pair never stays in one place too long, always on the move trying to find their pack again.
