Sonya is a CRT TV robot, she doesn’t have her own voice and communicates instead with text and images on her screen. She can also communicate using morse code and, more complicatedly, through audio clips in shows and movies and such. She doesn’t hardly use that method though as it’s difficult for her to create a sentence and it sounds weird.
Inside her chest and stomach compartments is where she can be hooked up to dvd/vhs players, games, and anything else you could plug into a tv. The back compartment also having various necessary things.
Robots/Object heads main purpose in this universe is to provide a service for whoever their owners are.
Sonya had a family that bought her when she was brand new, but once her family could afford it they bought a new fancy flatscreen TV and kicked her out of the house.
This frequently happens to robots/object heads of this universe, they get replaced by the people who adopted them and have to find another use elsewhere or be homeless.
Sonya is able to get a really dingy apartment after she starts working regularly as a tv in a sports bar called Sloopy’s where she plays sports games on her screen all day and cleans up when she’s told to.
The first day Sonya was homeless she met a boombox robot named Boomy who gave her all the cash he had on him to help her get back on her feet for a little while, something he often does to newly homeless robots (or “strays” as some people say).
Sonya is not the type that likes accepting help and leaving it at that so she vows to pay it back and also helps Boomy when she can, becoming friends with him.
