Profile
Roger is a living doll, brought to life by the Toymaker. Originally, his only purpose was to paint murals. Slowly but surely, he used his hands to cover the walls with his art, collaborating occasionally with others. But art is a creative mode and a language of thought and emotion; as he pushed the boundaries of his designs, he pushed the boundary of his own mind, developing free thought and feeling that few others were allowed.
This was unacceptable to the Toymaker, but before he was erased, he escaped the roaming home. He spent several days wandering lost in the forest, until he was discovered by Bailey, who took him in instantly. He has been living with her ever since. He helps her around the house as repayment for his care. He's been learning how to be a person from her, though she's not exactly the ideal role model.
She's provided him a stock of doll clothes to wear as an alternative to the clothes he was found in, as he is only about 18 inches tall. He's quiet, and he doesn't know how to emote very well, and if he's distressed he'll get emotional displays confused (ex: smiling when something bad is happening, thinking a sad person is angry). He still has difficulty with the word no. Many things in the world are new and strange for him, but food is one thing he will never understand, for he cannot eat or drink.
