Profile
The Princess, with a sword in her sleeve
"Think of a rose: True beauty comes with it's thorns."
Kiyoko is one of several antagonists in "Shokugeki no Kimiko". She is the oldest of Somei's and Momo's three daughters. As member of Totsuki's Elite 10 council, Kiyoko stands astronomically high in Totsuki's social hierarchy and with her family-background, as well as her reputation of being a glamorous social media darling backing her up, Kiyoko is reverred left and right on her school. And she wouldnt have it any other way.
Kiyoko has a rather sweet and polite demeanour to herself, which is quick to charm many. However, one should not make the mistake of underestimating her because of this.

Personality
Being brought up in high society, Kiyoko learned to value good mannerisms and etiquette from a young age on. She usually makes a polite and sweet impressions on others, while still maintaining a certain sense of aloofness which helps her to quickly earn respect for herself. Combined with her well-trained sense for fashion and styling, as well as her talents for desserts that make even the sternest of people gush in delight - Kiyoko always had her way of drawing attention and admiration on herself.
Status is something that Kiyoko has always highly concerned herself with. She loves being reverred and is quite ambitious in achieving that. Whatever social enviroment she finds herself in, Kiyoko makes sure to find herself some way to the top. People should not underestimate her because of the sweet, innocent act that she tends to put up. Ever since she is young, Kiyoko has been used to receiving a certain kind of respect from people and she does not like it when she feels like that respect isn't given. Similarly, she has also been spoiled endlesssly throughout her childhood. Kiyoko is used to getting whatever she wants and is not one to tolerate any obstacles that might find their way into whatever it is that she desires.
There is a side to Kiyoko that is a lot more malicious and brutal than what some would expect. She is rather petty and does not forget easily. It can start with small things, like little comments that sound rather backhanded or her not giving a greeting back - but it can also escalate, if she seriously becomes upset enough, for the warrior in her to awaken and to remove the cause of her frustrations out of her life for good. She can be quite vindictive and is also not willing to give up the pedestal that she stands on. And if it takes some cruel measures to maintain it, then she won't shy away from it.
The best possible way to get on Kiyoko's bad side is to harm anyone she seriously cares for, especially her little sisters. Kiyoko is incredibly protective over her younger siblings and if anyone was to hurt them, she would not rest until she knows the perpetrator somewhere in the gutter.
On the other side, Kiyoko is earnestly quite affectionate to the people that she loves. She looks out for them and is always willing to assist in what they need help for. While making sweets to show off to strangers is something that she enjoys doing, of course - her passions honestly bloom at their fullest when she is making sweets for the people that she holds close. Kiyoko more than often even goes out of her way to give those sweets a personalised design even. Making people she cares for happy is something that she does whole-heartedly love to do.
Kiyoko likes to surround herself with all things that she finds beautiful. She is incredibly girly when it comes to most of her likes and interests, and that is something that she wears with pride.
Her almost aristocratic, glamorous persona does not only draw people in real life in, but also over the world wide web. Kiyoko has a very strong social media presence and her account is loyally followed by millions all over the world.
Cooking Style
While she has an overall talent in the fields of sweets and desserts, Kiyoko has been known to be a master at the art of Wagashi in particular, ever since she is young. She is beloved in the Culinary Elite, as well as the world wide web, for her sense of aesthetics, which she masterfully applies to her creations as well.

Story
Childhood
Kiyoko grew up in a mansion, located in a village in the close viscinity of Tokyo. Her mother hosts a good couple of fancy gatherings and parties throughout a year, which allowed Kiyoko to learn how to navigate the world of high society from an early age on. Same mother also sparked a love for sweets in Kiyoko - a field which she has been training herself in, ever since she could walk. When a little older, she would often also help out in one of Momo's many sweetshops.
"Shokugeki no Kimiko"
Kiyoko has yet to make her appearance in the fanfiction.
Trivia
"Kiyoko" can mean something in the sense of "pure child", or "undefiled child". It was chosen by her father Somei Saito, who basically considered his first, and back then only, daughter as almost "holy" and hoped to keep her "pure", as in properly protected from all evils of the world. It also underlines Kiyoko's later lady-like demeanour. Kiyoko's surname "Saito" consists of the kanji for "Buddhist food" and "wisteria".
While Kiyoko finds appreciation in all the seasons, her personal favorite is spring. She loves it for the cherry blossoms.
Kiyoko's favorite festives to partake in are Hanami and Valentine's Day.
Reportedly, Kiyoko is in Paris at least once each and every year (to shop). She takes French lessons on Totsuki also.
Kiyoko's favorite American movie is "Clueless".
Whenever Kiyoko is taking a selfie, she often freezes and lightly shivers in her efforts to take the "perfect" picture - something that she has inherited from her mother. Kiyoko therefore much prefers when other's are the one to take the picture. She also really loves to do Purikuras, whenever she is in the city.
Kiyoko's favorite flowers are pink stargazer lilies. She also likes peonies and lotuses.
While getting dressed up, Kiyoko typically listens to energetic, bouncy pop - primarily K-Pop. She likes the band "BLACKPINK".
Kiyoko is both a rather talented singer and dancer. One: she has often tried to replicate dances from music videos that she likes, ever since she was a child. Second: As part of high society, she also partook in dance lessons - both for traditional Japanese dances and ballroom dances. When it comes to ballroom dances in specific, her personal favorite is Viennesse Waltz.
It's usually that whenever she has become sick that Kiyoko binge-watches entire TV-dramas. She particularly likes those that take place in a historical setting.
Related
Momo Saito
Momo spoils all three of her children endlessly (going by her own mother's example) and Kiyoko is, of course, where that all started, seeing that she is her first child. Momo had quite a bit of influence in forming Kiyoko's tastes, as well as her ego, back when she was younger. They always did a wide array of things together when Kiyoko was a child - and when she is a teen, she still tries to makes sure to find space for the occassional "mommy-and-me"-day in her schedule. Momo is very proud of her oldest daughter and can rather often be heard bragging about her to others.
Somei Saito
While it was her mother who sparked Kiyoko's love for sweets, it was her father's intensive praise for Kiyoko's Dango in specific that really pushed her towards studying Japanase confectionaries more thorougly than anything else. Kiyoko finds her father to be a very soothing presence and often uncounciously seeks him out when she is in need for comfort. Somei does not always understand his oldest daughter's teenage, girly world but he does make an effort to try, and he is undoubtedly just as proud of her finesse in the kitchen as Momo is. Somei was also the one who taught her to watch out for her little sisters, which is something that Kiyoko very earnestly takes to heart.
Moe Saito
Kiyoko and Moe share quite a good amount of interests and find themsleves many activities to bond together. Moe looks up to Kiyoko, aspires to be just as important as her someday and is quick to brag about Kiyoko when someone else asks her about her big sister. Kiyoko is very often the first one that Moe shows her newest creations to and Moe is frequently showered with praise by her older sister, which of course acts as a great motivator. On Totsuki, Kiyoko looks out for Moe from a far and it's no secret how insanely protective she is. Kiyoko basically does not allow for a single bad thing to come even close to Moe.
Yoshiko Saito
Yoshiko likes and looks up to her oldest sister. Even if she finds that Kiyoko's girliness can be a bit much at times, and may roll her eyes when strung along to one of Kiyoko's shopping sprees, Yoshiko has always, rightfully, thought of her big sister as undoubtedly strong. A quality that she does whole-heartedly very much respects. Kiyoko looks out for Yoshiko just as much as she does for Moe, meanwhile. Despite the occassional scolding whenever Yoshiko gets TOO ruffian for her liking, Kiyoko still simultaneously makes an efffort to show interest in Yoshiko's whole warrior-stick and carefully listens to all that she wants to ramble about.
Masashi Eizan
Kiyoko and Masashi have known each other ever since they were young children. Young Kiyoko initially liked Masashi for how patiently he would look at all the billions of pictures she wanted to show him on her phone and listen to the contributing rambles of her's. Masashi meanwhile felt drawn to Kiyoko's dedication and avid study of Japanese sweets. Over the time, they found quite a few activites and interests for them to bond over and basically grew closer and closer each time they met. Nowadays, they appear almost inseperable and can frequently be seen strolling Totsuki's campus together. Kiyoko is Masashi's first, true friend and he finds that she's a very easing presence, who he can let his guard down to when they're alone. Kiyoko even has her ways to calm him down when he gets angry, which isn't something that many people can say about themselves. Masashi trusts her completely, and vice versa. They're always there for each other and a fearsome pair to behold for anyone who dares to go up against them. Seeing that they know each other so well, they work perfectly in a team and always got each other's back. Due to their closeness, it has always been a persistent rumour in the Culinary Elite that the two of them are engaged, actually. However, it is only in her first year of highschool that feelings for Masashi that go beyond friendship begin to bloom in Kiyoko - and they've only grown stonger ever since. Almost everyone is aware of it at this point. Everyone, but Masashi.
Shigeo Eizan
Kiyoko is the member of the Saito-family that Shigeo is closest to after Moe. They've seen each other very frequently throughout their childhood overall and given a good amount of similarities they share (an appreciation for the finer things in life, for example), Kiyoko and Shigeo always got along. The two of them and Masashi partook in many activities together and all three of them remain close in their teenage years too. Kiyoko knows quite well how Shigeo works and operates and can read him a lot better than most can. She's another candidate who tends to look out for him and tries to improve on some of his bad habits. Shigeo very much appreciates Kiyoko, seeing much of an "older sister figure" in her, even if they are basically the same age, and he does have a lot of respect for her. The two of them like to exchange gossip on parties and Kiyoko also very often vents to Shigeo, who's aware of her feelings for his older brother, about Masashi's denseness.
Kei Eizan
Even more so than Shigeo, Kei has always registered Kiyoko as the older sister that he never had. He has known her pretty much ever since he was a toddler and Kiyoko has always been nothing but sweet to him. She very often made him all kinds of sweets that are made to look like Shiba Inu dogs, and Kei always looked up to her. When a little older, he often just silently endures her pampering and even though he would be too embarrassed to vocally admit it - something about her attention makes him happy. He's always glad when she comes over.
Nene Eizan
Nene and Kiyoko are pretty close. With Kiyoko's flawless etiquette and the dedication she has for her craft, she has charmed Nene from young age on. Quite frankly, Nene simply adores her and roots alongside Momo, albeit more discretely than Momo, for Masashi and Kiyoko to get together at last. Kiyoko definitely finds Nene to be a very admirable persona and more often than not seeks out some advice from her.
Etsuya Eizan
Etsuya is not quite as close to Kiyoko as his wife is, but still the two of them do like each other a lot. Kiyoko is rather assured that should she ever need his help for anything, that it'd take just one single phone call. Etsuya does like her for the refined persona that she has but also the notable power she exudes in any social surroundings. Just like he does for all of the Saito-sisters, he does buy her a few gifts rather frequently.
Ran Mimasaka
All things considered, Kiyoko and Ran are friends. They often hang out, find things to laugh about and share a nice cup of tea together whenever the rest of the Elites is too busy jumping at each other's throats. The two of them do definitely like each other. However, there appears to be some form of subtle strain in their relationship that hinders them from fully, completely opening up to one another. They share wildly different approaches to some certain matters and it is something that puts the two girls a little bit at odds with one another.
Noboru Shinomiya
Noboru and Kiyoko do share a lot of mutual respect for one another and for the most part they share a rather good professional relationship with one another. It tends to irk Noboru sometimes when Kiyoko moves the Elite 10 meetings to less important topics (like her wardrobe), but she is hardly the only one who does so. Meanwhile Kiyoko tries to encourage him to lighten up more and will also occassionally join in with Ran to convince him to take a break and relax. All in all, they do like each other despite some minor disagreements at times.
Suzume Hojo
Despite not understanding all of Suzume's many jokes, Kiyoko and Suzume still do have a rather easy time conversing. The two of them mainly bond over fashion and Suzume loyally follows all of Kiyoko's social media. Seeing how powerful Kiyoko really is, a part of Suzume can not help but to admire her a little. Kiyoko, in return, sees much of a worthy successor for her position as "Queen of Totsuki" in Suzume, so to speak, liking the girl for her strength and ambitious nature. The only thing that bothers her a little is Suzume's clear moral uptightness, as Kiyoko feels she could reach greater lengths without it.
Akio Hayama
Despite the fact that she's usually quite friendly to him, there is something about Kiyoko that unsettles Akio. He usually meets her with the same courtesy back, because something tells him that he does not want to get on this girl's bad side. Kiyoko, in return, does not think too much of him. She does consider him friendly and nice enough, but not very remarkable otherwise.
Hiraku Yukihira
Kiyoko does not like Hiraku too much, albeit she is a lot more subtle about it than her best friend. She finds that he is getting way too big-headed and his plan of taking over the Elite 10 as quickly as as possible is something that she finds preposterous. For now, she remains calm but does give him very subtle clues at times that it would be for the better if he was to quickly part from the idea in his head that he could beat her in anything cooking-related. Those clues typically go over Hiraku's head. He does not talk too often to Kiyoko but does find her rather nice actually. He also likes that she seems to always carry sweets around with her.
