biography
He used to be the scrawny kid that pitched in with the chores that didn’t require muscle. The other children would pick on him for it but all of that would roll right off his shoulders. He was interested in feeding animals while the others wanted to hunt, playing the banjo while the others socialized and stargazing when the others slept. The elders would joke that he was the oddball of their ethnic group of Klaic but he was loved equally nonetheless.
For the first time, their peaceful lives were disturbed. A large group sighted their camp and desperate for supplies like food and water in the the vast sahara, raided and killed many of his kind that was in the way without a second thought. Outskilled and off guard, many Klaic were killed and Omar barely survived with the skin on his back and the fur on his ears. Small in number and low on resources, the surviving Klaic scattered and what was once family became every man for himself. Omar was forced to learn how to survive and how to fight the hard way —through firsthand experience.
As one of the few remaining of the animal-like variety, it’s hard for him not to draw attention. Depending on the place, his race can incite curiosity or animosity. He’s been called a filthy ‘moggy’ (mongrel cat) and refused accommodation. On the other hand he has also been asked to exchange his body for a night for a place to stay because of interest in his exotic nature. Ever since the fall of the Klaic, he feels like an outsider wherever he goes. He’s a survivor and his only goal in life is surviving. That’s all he thinks he’s good for anyway.
