Mass-produced Rybbonchildren are free to create so long as I'm credited for them and the basic rules laid out in the image and this description are followed.
"Base polymer color" means that the color should show at the joints or other high-wear areas. Basically, make it obvious that it's painted if you want other colors.
The ribbon rule applies only to location, you can make their ribbons different styles or worn/tattered as long as their placement remains the same.
If you want to make one to sell, ask first and be aware that I will probably decline. You can make them to give as freebies all you want, but I'd prefer if you didn't profit off them without permission.
Not mentioned in the image:
- Rybbonchildren lack genitalia and have feminine shapes. (The shape was chosen initially because the person it was made for was a young girl, and kept after the design was bought because the company execs thought masc-presenting ones were "weird".)
- They're essentially very simple helper AIs. Like Clippy, but for home life. Any personality/intelligence besides that is something added by the user (there is a very simple and easy-to-use interface for this built in, so it's common for them to have more robust AIs).
- The ribbons are built into their steel skeleton and contain simple toxin/heat sensors woven into the fabric. Again: initially designed as small child babysitter.
- Their faces, hands, and feet are covered in a plastic that's soft and pliable, but fairly hardly. A bit like silicon.
- Incredibly strong. So much so that some people mod them for ~sick robot fights~ (obviously, this voids the warranty).
- Fairly small; rarely made above 4 feet tall.
- No functional mouths. If they have speech capabilities (not all models do, even if the faceplate has lip molding), they speak through using a speaker in their mouth region.
- Rybbon was the name of the first model; since it was the prototype for the main line, all following ones were Rybbon('s)children. The brand name is Rybbonchilde for Brand ReasonsTM.
- Their internal computer is stored in their chest; for this reason their torsos are extremely sturdy.
- Major modifications like inlays, chassis changes, ribbon removal/addition, and eye inserts are very rare due to the amount of money and skill required to make major changes to a Rybbonchilde without breaking it or voiding the warranty.
