Mikan

Appearance:
Eye Colour: Orange.
Skin Tone: Beige.
Height: 155cm.

Mikan is short and delicate. She is typically dressed in very practical clothes, especially trainers and shorts. She has short, triangular points at the top of her eyes. 

Mikan's hair is short so as not to get in her way when playing basketball. She has two tentacles out the front and two at the back, and two smaller ones at the bottom of her head. She has a short fringe that is parted down her right side.

Personality:

Soft and shy, Mikan is often referred to as the baby of the group. She’s rather sooky, and it’s not that difficult to make her cry. She is uncomfortable around strangers and will often be very quiet, and she absolutely hates being put on the spot. Although Mikan tries her best to be brave, her nerves often get the better of her, and when she’s really upset she will often attempt to hide behind her friends.

Mikan loves sports, and she is very active. She loves all sports, but basketball is her favourite, and she plays for her school’s team with her cousin Tou. She plays almost every day, but on the days she doesn’t she still makes sure to do some form of exercise. She’s also a member of the school’s gymnastic club, as a way for her to train discipline. Because Mikan is so active, she has a massive appetite and can eat lots. She tries to only eat healthy food, however she loves junk food a lot, and at times cannot help herself. Whenever she does eat something unhealthy, she feels really guilty about it and will immediately go do some exercise.

Coming from a rather well off family, Mikan’s life has been fairly average. Her parents have sheltered her, and as such, Mikan is pretty naive and innocent. She doesn’t really know a lot about how the world works, and tends to believe in the best of everyone. Her innocence is part of what makes Mikan a selfless person; she cannot bring herself to do anything that she believes is unjust. She wants to do the right thing, and has an altruistic world view. However, her selflessness and want to do the right thing can, at times, lead her to put herself in bad positions or allow others to take advantage of her.

Although Mikan is very sporty, she’s still a “girly girl”. She loves cute and delicate clothes, and when she isn’t playing she loves to dress up in such clothes. She also loves having her makeup, hair and nails done; she adores it when her older sister Fuji does her hair and makeup, and the two of them often bond over these makeup sessions. However, because she is so active she typically dresses very practically. She adores soft and pastel colours, with pink being her favourite.

Backstory:
As the youngest of four children, Mikan is the baby of her family. As such, she was a little bit more sheltered and spoilt than her other siblings, having not only her parents to care for her but also her older siblings. She is close with all her siblings and loves them all a lot, although she can be a little too dependent on them. She’s always loved sports, and played in many different teams since she was younger, but basketball soon emerged as her favourite and has been the only one she has stuck with. She used to play turf wars as well, but after an unfortunate accident, she has been terrified of the sport and not played since.

Strengths:

The Splattershot is an all-rounder weapon, allowing Mikan to fit into most roles. With her burst bombs she can pick off foes that are out of range for her main weapon or slow them down so she can catch up. Splashdown is a great tool for disrupting pushes and clearing an area, although Mikan is prone to activating it prematurely when panicky.

Weaknesses: 

While she has decent range, Mikan is often bodied by longer ranged weapons who can shoot her down on approach. In these situations she has little options to challenge them, as her burst bombs can only splat a weakened enemy. While a strong special, splashdown leaves her vulnerable for a few seconds and skilled players can pick her off before she comes back down.
 

Fun Facts:

 Mikan gets extremely flustered if you call her cute.
 When she was little, she heard a superstition that if you breathe while passing a cemetery you will be possessed by an evil spirit. She still to this day holds her breath whenever she passes by one.
 Is most likely to abandon her room because of a spider.
