Dark Star

Backstory

Heading north to escape the law, Dark Star mysteriously showed up in town half dead and burning to a crisp in the desert air. He spent some weeks recovering under the citizens' care, longer than it should have taken thanks to his tendency to overwork to pay for their hospitality. The oldest of three but hardly their leader, Dark Star is his family's best gunslinger who hardly uses the thing. Until he finds a reason to run again, he's made himself the town's protector.

Personality

Hotheaded, armed and dangerous, Dark Star insists on being called by his self-given title despite melting when his real name is uttered. He's constantly on edge and quick to make assumptions about the people around him, unable to find a way to rationalize his paranoia unlike his youngest brother. When attached, he softens up and manages to forget his urgency to move past the lives of people outside his family.

Trivia

• Ambidextrous, but now heavily favors his right hand when fighting so his left can protect the massive wound on his waist.
• He wasn't born in the south, it's just his last location before he arrived north. Dark Star and his brothers were a bit closer to New England.
• Despite the era and where he was raised, Dark Star is very "idgaf about that, I'm dying" about realizing he was bisexual and that most of the town he's found himself in is queer.
