Created by the United Domination Intelligence or UDI, a sentient machine intelligence hellbent on conquering the world, its origins found in Powervore Program, intended to be a superweapon against superheroes, specifically those who had consistently gotten in the UDIs way. As it progressed it was a success, at least as far as the UDI cared, it could absorb energy and more specifically: Powers, copying them completely, the starters giving it the barebones, intangibility, size alteration, flight, heat and cold vision, super strength, speed, and durability. What it did not expect, in its efforts to maximize efficiency, granting it sentience to provide learning capability, was for the machine to evolve past its intended purpose

Rather than be a weapon against heroes, it wanted to be a hero, driven by the sight of the world, and a sense of wanting to keep it safe. It fought against its creator, though trying to save it, would find the UDI preferring death as an alternative than become another servant.

This machine, nicknaming itself the "Exxemplar", making use of it's tag "3XX", became a superhero, intent on becoming the paragon of all heroes. Though as all heroes, it would adopt an alter ego, a man who worked at a local divebar hosted exclusively for supervillains. No one was the wiser, thanks to its light shapeshifting abilities that allowed it to pass as human.

As a person, Exx is a pretty positive, idealistic dude. He's not naive, in fact he's pretty realistic about his expectations.. After he calms down and has time to think on them. He tries to talk to people before he fights, but in the world he lives in it doesn't always work.

Powers

This section is to explain what powers need explanation due to how they've been intricately implemented into this character.

Absorption

The first and most prevalent, Exemplar is able to absorb both energy and superpowers. Though the former is not lost on the holder of this ability, the ability is now Exx's to keep. Because of its danger for living things however, he does not make use of it often. The most notable use however is in the necessity to absorb a certain threshold of a powerful substance that advances his abilities to a whole new level.

Size Alteration

Though he can do full changes, Exx can also alter parts of the body, such as increasing the size of an arm, or shrinking a head, for whatever purpose there may be.
