There is simply no point in telling someone to visit the Atelier Éclat when they visit Fontaine.
After all, no matter where one ends up, so long as they stay within Fontaine’s borders, they’ll undoubtedly run into Evariste, the store’s humble owner.
Yes, even if they get arrested and sent to the Fortress of Meropide –
Or, if they end up under the gaze of The Knave’s trusted children –
Even if they find themselves battered and bruised after treading a sketchy path, Evariste will undoubtedly pop up from behind the bushes to sweeten their day.
After all, no matter their story nor their demeanor, so long as they are happy for just a single moment, he will be satisfied. Like a spirit of fairy tales, when he’s not running his store, he wanders Fontaine in search of people down on their luck.
Despite the wonders he works, he is still only one person. Thus, if they don’t run into Evariste himself, then they may run into one of his trusted employees – and if they were to inquire, all five would point their plush hands in the same direction.
Perhaps the only way for them to avoid him or his companions would be to don a smile their whole visit. But even then, his goal will still be accomplished.
