Mariya is one of the several nurses/healers in the clinic near the local guild. She might be the most popular one in the clinic--her feminine good looks, friendly behavior and sweet voice makes her famous among townspeople and travelers alike who regularly go in and out the clinic, especially the men. She even has white wings--she's a literal angel, they said.
She's no angel, though. She's actually a demon who just happens to look pretty and have white wings. Why a demon of all things decided to be a healer, nobody knows but the demon herself. She also isn't as dainty as she looks. Being a demon, she has immense physical strength, natural magic abilities, and she can produce ear-splitting soundwaves with her vocal chord. One can say that she's one of the best fighters in the clinic.
While her kindness isn't fake, she's a very mischievous person. She likes to 'bully' her junior coworker, Luche. The younger human is often annoyed, unsurprisingly, but still has a lot of respect towards Mariya. These two are like brother and sister. Other than that, Mariya has this demeanor where she looks down on everyone like they're children, despite Mariya herself having childish moments herself. The exception to this treatment is their boss--Mariya sees their boss as a mother figure to look up to. Never having a real family in her demon life, the clinic is like a small family to her.

- Yes, she can fly although her wings are oddly small. Her wings doesn't work quite like avian wings, it's more supernatural in nature, so she can 'retract' her wings at will. She mostly hides her wings indoors. She does have a (rarely seen) more demon-looking form, and her wings are bigger in that form.
- She doesn't look any different than a regular human when her wings are hidden. She takes it as an advantage. Even with her wings out, she just looks like an avian, not a demon.
- She uses blunt weapons as per medic norm and she's really good at cracking skulls with them. Unlike a lot of healers, she's very physical when she fights.
- Shares a similar love of desserts with Luche. They often go out to sweets shops together.
- Luche is known for being strict, but Mariya is surprisingly more strict. Her personality is more dominant and she doesn't 'melt' as easily. All with a smile, though.
- She's reeeaaally chatty at times.
