Perfect Red Olivine's Links
What a /pest./ Could a gem be more annoying? As Jericho puts all his time and effort into his work he seems to always have Cicero up his ass. He claims Jericho is not gentle enough with the pearls, too rude, too blunt. He can't recall how many times he's had to remind Cicero this is his job!
Still, it's hard to say Cicero is wrong. For all his weakness to pearls, he wants them to have better lives, which Jericho /supposes/ would benefit the empire. Or at least, the atmosphere of their workplace. Smart, handsome, charming... distracting... he'll be a little gentler with the pearls.
How can one gem be so insensitive, so downright CRUEL? While he greatly respects the mans intelligence and the service he provides for the Pearls of the Shells, he does wish there was more... well, /understanding./ He's tried to place himself into the heels of the Olivine but he just can't figure it out. And he's tried, truly! He really does want to. It just doesn't seem that there's much they can agree on. [Not without an argument, that is.] And as clever of a talker that Cicero is, Jericho's logic is downright infallible. While Cicero he doesn't want to give up on the Olivine-- and he'll never back down from a challenging argument,-- he finds himself wishing that they had a better start.
