{ KITHOOD ... Powderkit/Flashkit }

Violetkit and Powderkit are born in Beast and Blood. Violetfang and Bluespark take Violetkit and Powderkit and leave, fed up with the clan's brutish ways and the co-leader's rule. Powderkit, already abnormally small, is extremely sickly, making the gamble extremely risky. They believe it’s for the best, however. Violetfang and Bluespark both die in an accident involving a gang of rogues. Warwolf stumbles across them and takes Violetkit and Powderkit in, raising them alongside Conker and Miles as a slightly dysfunctional but happy family. It is under Warwolf’s care that Powderkit steadily gets better. A Corvid Colony hunt comes across them and the family is split in the chase. Powderkit tries to help by collapsing a cave that Violetkit and Warwolf are cornered in, but it only makes everything worse. Conker and Miles are caught in the cave-in and killed. Both think Warwolf is dead. Violetkit is angry and distraught, lashing out at Powderkit before leaving. Before she can come back, Ratblood swoops in and picks Powderkit up, renaming her Flashkit. She was so clever and quick on her paws – coming up with a strategy like that. Violetkit is captured by Corvid Colony. Violetkit is held prisoner by Corvid Colony. She shortens her name to Vi during this time. Flashkit meets Signel for the first time when Ratblood requires his medication. She’s carefully taught how to administer it to him, and stubbornly decides to repay his kindness by helping him out

{ YOUTH ... Flashpaw }

Flashkit becomes Flashpaw and is raised by Ratblood in Beast and Blood and is given to Rabidblood as an apprentice. Flashpaw is not happy about her choice in mentor, but begrudgingly goes along with it at Ratblood’s behest. She has a fixation on loud noises, explosions, and colorful objects. She makes little figures of Conker and Miles in a hideout in the city that she often talks to or takes her anger out on. When Flashpaw needs to cool down, she finds herself in Oryxhaunt’s den. The older tom takes interest in teaching her the different poisons and their uses. Flashpaw concludes maybe he isn’t so bad, after all. Flashpaw does not tend to spend time around her fellow apprentices, and instead delights in terrorizing them or annoying the older warriors, even her mentor and the co-leader, Rabidblood. Despite their complaints, Ratblood waves them off. Flashpaw meets Cherrybomb during a visit to Society of the Flood’s black market and they get along like a house on fire. Cherrybomb encourages Flashpaw to continue her tinkering and projects

{ ADULTHOOD ... Flashbang }

Flashpaw becomes a warrior and is given the name Flashbang – for her loud, explosive personality. During her warriorhood, Flashbang takes an interest in Rabidblood’s new apprentice, Maggotpaw. She consistently gets their name wrong, but she’s still fond of the younger cat. She thinks they’re interesting. When Ribrot is punished in front of the faction for speaking back to Rabidblood and Ratblood, Flashbang assists in the detonguing. It’s really no bother to hold the molly’s head still, no matter how much she squirms... Flashbang meets Vulturerasp when she washes up in the gutterslip. The younger molly takes it upon herself to become a guide of sorts.
