Although Connie is very shy and nervous, he has a caring nature for others. He tries to lend his talents to help others whenever possible. But despite his nature, he is not trusting of others and will keep his distance at first.
(I'm going to just post something here for now just to get some ideas down before I forget, will clean it up later)
Connie lived in a settlement for the first part of his life with his parents. Once day, it was attacked and destroyed. Connie was deeply affected by it. He isn't aware of it but he has some PTSD from the event. He also developed a stutter right after.
Connie found himself in some trouble with a group of thugs while he was traveling, trying to find some of his relatives. The thugs tied him up in barbed wire, which is the cause of his scars. But he was rescued by Sparrow.
Connie found himself a new place to call home eventually, he still has a lot of unresolved trauma but he tries be of use to his new neighbors. He can sew, and will help with tattered clothing. The funny thing is he doesn't always take as good care of his own things.
Sparrow saved Connie's life, he is one of the few people in the world that Connie really trusts.
