Kosho

Story Past

Kosho and her twin brother were born to a poor family. Her parents already hat 3 other chuldren to feed, her and her brother not included. But they somehow managed to get all kinda fed. At the age of 3, her parents decided to sell her and her brother of to a organisations that sold drakon. Why? Because with selling the twins they got a good amout of money which they could use to life more comfortably. So the twins were taken away from theio family. There was a lot of crying and screaming involved while they were taken away. They soon found themself locked away in a cage with a chain on thei feet. They clinged to each other and didn't really know what was happening. They just wanted to go home. They cried a lot even tho they got yelled at and punished for crying. After some weeks in the cage, they were sold in an auction to their new master. At first they were happy, because they thought they finally escaped the cage and den man would help them get back home. But oh boy were they wrong. What followed were decades filled with abuse, fear, sorrow and loss. The twins were raised to do anything their owner wanted from them. They learned how to do the household and how to please him and his friends. If they misbehaved, they were severly punschied. They were beaten, starved and looked away in a dark room. They were locked in the mansion 24/7, which is why they never really knew much about the outside world except the things they saw outside the windwos. They also were severly malnutrition, they were only allowed to eat the left overs of their master. Which wasn't neraly enough to cover the minerals they needed nor still the hunger they had. That's a reason why both of them are short in height and got some health issues. But there was some kind of light in the darkness. One of the butlers treated both of them like his own children. When he had the chance, he told them many storys and tried his best to give them some kind of a happy memory. He looked out for them, but he couldn't do much about the abuse that was happening. So many years went by, both of them slowly growing into adults. Still trapped in the hell, but they always thought 'at least we have each other'. That was a something they hold onto and the nice butler that tried his best to help them. But then something happend that would turn Koshos life upside down again. She got pregnant from the master and he decided she should keep it because a mixed race child would sell wonderfull on the market. She didn't really understand what was happening at first, but soon the realization hit and to the suprise of her butler Kosho wasn't against the child. Because it was hers. She didn't knew they would take it away from her at this point. The next months she got more food and wasn't punished as severly as before. Then the day came, the baby was born. At first she tought it would be the best day in her life, but it quckily turned into the worst, when they took the baby away from her and she realized she would never see it again. That event deeply impacted her and changed Kosho forever. She wasn't so talkative with her brother and the butler anymore, she was more distant and kept to herself and that never changed. Some more decades went by and in that time the butler decided he needs to free them both. He planed everything carefully and waited for the perfect oppertunity to come. After a long long time of waiting, it finally was there. He woke them both up from their sleep, gave them a little back with food in it and said to follow him. The twins very confused, but didn't question him because they thought it was a order from their master. They followed him throught the halls, down the stairs, to the back door. He opend it up, looked at them with a smile and told them to run. The twins looked out with big eyes. They never came so close to the doors that led outside. They then looked confused and unsure to the butler. He smiled at them. 'It's fine, trust me' he told them and gave them their last big hug. They asked if he would come to and he answered that he would follow them soon. Then he stepped behind them, gave them a litle push and told them again to run. Run as fast as they can. The twin looked at each other, looked back to him before they started to run. For a while they did nothing but to run, until their legs gave out. They decided to take a rest and hid behind a big rock, where they slept for the night. The next days, both of them just walked. They avoided other drakons and city, until they found a cave which became their new home.

Story present

After some time in the cave, they had built a pretty good constuct. Kosho went to the city, which only was a 30 min walk away, to steal some food for them. Her brother on the other hand, joined a church where he helped with the cooking. He brought home whatever he could get from them, mostly it was bread but he also got some blankets for them. They lived their quite life, until her brother met a man he started to trust. He even started to bring him to their cave. Kosho was very wary of him, even tho the guy seemed to be kind, loud but kind, thats why she didn't say anything at first. And then, one day, her brother disappeared. She waited all night for him to come back home, but he didn't. She was sure the man he brought along had something to do with it. So, on the next day, she went searching for him, without any results. She often went back to the cave, just in case he would have come back by then, but the only one she encounterd there was the man, named Adam. At first, she told him to give her her brother back. But he didn't knew what she was talking about and after he able to calm her down, he explained he came here in hoping he would be here because they said they would hang out today. When she told him that he went missing, he was shoked and agreed to help her search for him. So they started their search toghether. After a few days they decided to extend the search aera. They searched deeper in the Wood, near a cliff. As Adam was about to tell her to be carfull, she slipped on the rocks and fell down. Adam was terrified, screamed her name and ran the the edge. Luckily, the fall wasn't deep, but she hit her head on the rock and was unconscious. When she woke up, she found herself in a warm and cozy bed, a headache and no clue where she was and what happend. Adam came in the room to check on her and was relieved when he saw that she woke up. He began to tell her that he was starting to really worry about her because she slept for two whole days but he frezzed when she asked him who he was. He blinked, looked confused at her and started to tell her that he was Adam and if she were joking. But she just stared at him with a blank stare. He then started to ask some questions, like if she remebers was they were doing, but she coulnd't answer any of them. Adam became most shoked, when he asked a question about her brother and she didn't knew who he was. That's were it hit him that she lost her memories. He inhaled and started to tell her some things he knew about her. Well it only was her name and age and some smaller things he noticed, but she rememberd her name and age so it wasn't really helpfull. Some days went by, Kosho was back on her feet again and behaved strangly. She was more open minded, interacted a lot with others, laughed a lot and seemed more happy in general. Adam wasn't used to seeing her like that, because he knew the other Kosho. Wary of everyone, not saying a word, always a cold face. But he liked the new one, he liked that she finally seemed to be happy. He didn't exactly knew what happend to them, but he knew it must have been real bad and he knew it must have been devastating for Kosho when her brother went missing. Thats why he made the decision not to mention him around her anymore. If the memorys come back on their own, it's okay, if they don't they don't. He didn't want to interven in that. But he would help her if she needed something. They both now live in the small village Adam grew up in, where most of his family still lives and in generall everybody ist treated as family. Kosho and Adam even grew pretty close to each other.
