Tadeo is a 27 year old man. He works as a Paramedic, helping people as best he can in crisis. Not wanting to waste any of his free time, he also works as a bouncer on his off days at a gay and leather bar known as Mountain Dragon. Ever since reuniting with his old friend and starting to date him, Tadeo has been forced to slow down and enjoy calm, quiet moments. It's not a waste if its with him, after all.

Since Tadeo was a kid, he’d always wanted to help people. He was a lively and angry kid, and that anger was focused mostly on poor treatment and poor handling of people. He knew he could do it better, and there was nothing better a person could do than help other people, and he needed to be the best. He decided his best bet would to become a first responder. Tadeo knew he wanted every class and certification- every opportunity to make a difference. So he did.
Tadeo is a very quiet guy, typically. When he was a kid, his temper was too big for his body, and he would lash out loudly a majority of the time. His need to be the best, to be better than those above him, it lead him to treating those around him like stepping stones and obstacles. He would bully and verbally abuse kids in his school in late elementary, all of middle, and the first year of high school.
In high school, Tadeo would often be in trouble for his behavior and most teachers would simply punish him and then be done with it. The first few months of high school were spent more in ISS than out of it. That was until one of his teachers took notice of Tadeo’s drive and found out his goals. Tadeo wanted to help people, and didn’t know how to help in a technical sense without berating or putting people down. His teacher worked with him on ways of speaking and ways of conducting himself. How to respond to people and situations that would usually frustrate and set him off.
Tadeo would go on to become more introspective, resulting in more silence. He’d explode in fits of rage, but now that he knows how to pick through his strong feelings and translate them into productive conduct, he has no real reason to be loud. Tadeo will surprise new friends and coworkers with a sudden, snapping loudness to get attention or to make an order. He sees it as a tool he can use, and is thankful to have it.
That doesn’t mean he’s perfect. Tadeo often finds himself annoyed more easily than his friends, even if he knows how to keep it to himself. He’s quick to assume the worst of people he begins to trust. He’s good at communicating when he does, but often finds himself simply staying quiet when he should be talking.
Tadeo is a known workaholic. Whats the point if he’s not out there making people safe? So, on his time off, Tadeo spends most of it at his second job. Tadeo works part-time as a bouncer at a gay and leather bar called Mountain Dragon. It’s a pillar of the kink and lgbt scene in his town, and is well known for its value in community.
Tadeo worked as a bouncer only for some time, as he was very new to such an open environment. After getting used to things and getting closer with the owner and his husband, Tadeo eventually asked to host his own class. So, twice a month, Tadeo teaches a class on rigging and proper handling of people when they’re in a vulnerable state. How to conduct yourself in a way that keeps the energy alive and also keeps participants safe.
The next stage in his growth is meeting a man named Dekiru. He and Tadeo grew up on a very similar ideal: The need to help people. Where Tadeo’s motivations were originally to simply outshine others, Dekiru had some kind of soul deep kindness and care. It was the first thing that scared Tadeo into lashing out at him- noticing how much better equipped Dekiru was to be the best than he was just by being himself.
When Tadeo and Dekiru ran into each other at the rehabilitation center, it took both of them a moment to recognize each other. Once they did, Tadeo felt his stomach drop through his feet, but Dekiru instead responded with a delighted gasp, and a jumping hug like they’d never fallen out in the first place. Tail wagging, Tadeo handed his phone number over and Dekiru beamed. Hopefully they’d be able to meet up for lunch soon and catch up. Dekiru had missed him.
A few months into their reconnecting, Tadeo eventually works up the courage to ask Dekiru out on a proper date. Dekiru is over at his apartment, and they’re watching one of the new DC cartoons together. Tadeo asks him to go on a date with him, and locks away the memory of warm and slightly sleepy Dekiru blinking, blushing, and stumbling over his acceptance with a happy little sheep tail thudding against his cushions.
They’ve been dating for almost two years now, and Tadeo can feel his rough edges being smoothed out like a stone in the river. Dekiru’s a wall, solid and unmoving, but he speaks and acts with such simple kindness that at times it’s overwhelming. His patience is unending. He won’t allow Tadeo to slip into bad habits or treatment, instead holding his paws in strong cloven hands and working with him. Tadeo brings Dekiru out of a working cycle- only pushing himself to work and nothing else. Dekiru feels worse than Tadeo in the workaholic department, but it’s more that he puts so much of himself into his job that he can’t put himself into anything else. Tadeo works with him to dig him out of the hole and allow him to stop and smell the roses- somewhat literally.
Teaching Dekiru how to enjoy his time and forcing Tadeo to do the same. Tadeo finds time to cook them dinner, and plan outings and surprises. Dekiru does the same, when he takes Tadeo’s superb treatment like a kind of challenge to return the favor. Working together to make each other better, and in turn making themselves better.
Tadeo knows his young, but he can say he’s happy. He’s satisfied. Work is great. He gets along well with his coworkers. Mountain Dragon is good. He feels like he’s making a real difference and stopping accidents before he has to be called in after the fact. His relationship is wonderful. Dekiru makes him excited and motivated. He didn’t know his tail could wag this much.

Dekiru is Tadeo's childhood friend! They knew each other from day one, up till they went to seperate middle schools. They reconnected as adults and started dating a few months later. It's been two years since then, and they're going strong!
Tadeo and Eiko met in college when Tadeo was studying to become a paramedic. Eiko is a firefighter, and the two of them often work together at various events. Eiko was known to keep a good hold on Tadeo and keep him grounded, getting along well with him. The two of them together work perfectly. Outside of work, Eiko is often dragging Tadeo to social events and helping him meet new friends.
Kariage and Tadeo met in middle school and dated during the last few years of highschool. Kariage and him both had anger issues and bullied on the smaller kids together with another friend of theirs. Tadeo's anger management therapy in high school was working very well, and led to a violent fight between the two of them before college. Tadeo wanted better for his friend, and Kariage wasn't in a place to value himself or his growth. The fight, violent as it was, went well. They were able to listen to each other and break up mutually, and Kariage moved on to try and fix his life. He and Tadeo are still close friends.
Tadeo and Ichika met through Dekiru, who has been friends with her since High School. She is known by everyone to be very bubbly and kind, but that kind of attitude tends to grind Tadeo's gears. He expected her to do just that when they met for the first time, but in actuality, she was sharp and witty. She came back at all his jabs ten fold and with a grin that made Tadeo feel a bit proud. She is incredibly reliable and honest, and Tadeo values her steadfast friendship very highly.
