Gumshoe is the kind of person who you talk to for only a few minutes and you feel like you've been his friend for years. He's personable, friendly, observant, and able to establish a friendly rapport with everyone he encounters. However, he is sometimes too energetic for people-- he talks a lot, he tends to interrupt when he's excited about something, he gets very loud. A lot of people assume that, since he is the friendly, extroverted, and kind detective type, he's not the intelligent, calculating detective type-- and that's not correct. Gumshoe, despite being talkative and easily distracted, is very observant. He's especially talented at reading people and determining whether or not they're lying. He also makes a good detective because when he gets on a case, he refuses to give it up until it's resolved. In this, he is both determined and stubborn. However, he's not a perfect detective for a few reasons. For one thing, he has a very short attention span. He can often miss things completely because of this. He also struggles to do paperwork. He also tends to view his own work more critically than other people. However, Gumshoe is ultimately very clever and friendly, and does the best he can.

Appearance

Gumshoe is a pale Korean man, who is 5'11" tall. He is fat and stocky, but with a soft silhouette. He has black hair, cut short and usually styled in a wavy way, although it grows straight. He has dark brown, almost black eyes. He has a round, friendly face, an easy smile, and a small, rounded nose. Gumshoe frequently dresses in business casual. He likes to wear button down shirts, especially colorful ones in interesting patterns, blazers and long coats, stylish slacks, and nice shoes. Although the colors he chooses sometimes clash (he is colorblind), he still really enjoys loud colors and patterns. He walks with confidence, and has a friendly air about him, making him easily approachable.
