Brynna Linette Rice was born to now formerly internationally famous Portuguese Fado star Evora Da Rosa and the would-be heir to Welsh beer empire Owain Rice in 1945 after her mother failed to achieve meaningful, lasting success in a brush with Hollywood a few years prior— but would live in relative comfort, and for the first few years of her life moving from country to country as Evora continued to tour doing what she what she was already good at.
But Brynn’s story truly begins in the Summer of 1963 in Swingin’ London, where she gets her very first job as an office girl and is very suddenly finally able to get the smallest grasp of her independence (while still living with her parents, of course) and maneuver through an new exciting life as a young (incredibly shy and inept) autistic woman— and she’s going to do everything she can to stay happy, no matter what any other person on the face of the planet thinks about her.
She’s the spitting image of her (somewhat controlling and overbearing) mother, Evora, of whom she’s finally gotten to become friends with, as she hasn’t recorded a new record in the past few years, and is currently spending time at home with her husband and daughters during her indefinite hiatus.

yadda yadda yadda shes an office girl from like june 63 to about february 64. on her 18th birthday (nov 63) Evora tells her she’s going to start recording music again and she wants HER to record music too and has even initiated talks for a contract with her record label in portugal but brynn doesn’t want this because 1, she hasn’t earned it, and 2, she doesn’t want to be famous in portugal because she doesn’t know portuguese and she does NOT want to sing fado she wants to sing (english) pop music because she loves the swing in london scene.
brynn ends up being managed by the same company she’s WORKING at as an office girl (the same company her musician boyfriend/eventual husband is managed by) and whatever time she isn’t dedicating to music she’s back there, wanting to do whatever menial tasks she can, for fun instead of for pay.

- Has wristwatch or pocket watch on her person at ALL TIMES, except to sleep and bathe. she kinda collects them. especially loved the ones with the ‘second’ notches
- About every sixth months, ever since she was 13, goes on a massive shopping trip with her mother.
- Her husband was her very first boyfriend, and she’d never been kissed until then.
- She also didn’t form 99% of her meaningful friendships until she was 17-19
*Note that Evora and (for the most part) her children follow Portuguese naming conventions. e.g “Given, Maternal Surname, Paternal Surname” . Though her children by Owain do possess western middle names, and Brynna carries a hyphenated surname, with her father’s surname and then her eventual husband’s surname.
