Child of a teenage mom (who ended up leaving). She has always been lonley, but never thought it was bad because she never experienced otherwise. The closest she got to friendship was her schools basketball team, but that ended up falling apart.

Cace's mom was a hippie that was into witchcraft. She made irresponisble desicions and got pregnant in highschool. What makes it even worse is that they live in a small town, a judgmental town. Her mother wasn't a help, her teachers didn't care, and everyone else judged her. She already wasn't the brightest kid, so all this just ruined her even more. When Cace was born her mom didn't step up, her grandmother was the one that raised her. Because of the situation other parents wouldn't let their kids around Cace so she already grew up isolated. She didn't have many friends, and her mom was in and out. But one day her mom just couldnt do it anymore. She was leaving pernamently. She packed her bags while cursing everyone out. Despite their strained relationship, she was still Cace's mom, she didnt want her to leave. But her moms pent up rage was finally let out as she genuinly put a curse on her daughter while walking out. Cace didn't know it yet, but her mom put a curse on her to feel and experience what she had felt because she got pregnant with her. The Curse was to be set once Cace was the same age as her mother was when her life went to shit. The curse resulted in Cace's soul to be bonded with a demons. The demon being bound to her causes Cace to walk around with a dark aura, causing those around her to be weary and experience bad luck. Her life got worse than it already was.

The demon bound to Cace is named Lux. According to him, "he wasn't the type of demon to do this shitty job". Cace didn't quite understand, but she did know that neither of them wanted to be stuck in this situation. The curse had already taken effect, She already wasn't popular, but now people went out of their way to avoid her. She went from a lonley loser to a "hated nightmare". Rumors began to spread, people began to judge. Cace tried to pretend it wasn't that bad, only because if she aknowledged the pain now she wouldnt be able to forget. It only got worse as time went on, the basketball team that she found comfort in began to ice her out, She was benched and gossiped about. Her being benched caused the team to loose skill, the team begain to fail horribly, eventually being cancelled all together. Neither Cace or Lux knew much about the curse, apperantly curses like this were taught in the grade that Lux skipped, and he never thought he would get stuck in a position like this. Cace's mom was also no where to be found, it had been almost 5 years since she had walked out. Cace lost hope. That was until the two met a jumpy girl (Yemmy) who could see ghosts and demons, and apperantly she was well educated on the subject too. Hope was rekindled and the 3 started an occult club to figure out how to break the curse.
