Profile
Duskdrift is a shy, quiet IceWing/NightWing hybrid living in a small IceWing village near the ocean with his mother. He doesn't get out much, and prefers to keep to himself. His mother loves him, and all the other dragonets want to be his friend, but Duskdrift has always been afraid of how he looks and who he's like. Being a hybrid of an IceWing and a NightWing, he thinks himself too much like Darkstalker, despite being born under no full moons and not having any animus magic. Late at night, around dusk, he likes to go out to the ocean and watch the sunset and look at the stars. He loves the beautiful landscapes of the Ice Kingdom, and is a bit of a painter, although he keeps his paintings to himself. Duskdrift has never met his father, despite hearing that he was a nice dragon and really did love his mother. Inside, he's a lonely, constantly scared dragonet. He wants friends, and knows there's plenty of dragons who want to be his friend, but doesn't want to end up like any other hybrids like him. One night, while watching the sky, Duskdrift didn't hear the talon steps behind him, and was greeted by a dragon he had never met. She was about his age, and had glittering ice blue scales, and kind midnight blue eyes. Duskdrift readied himself to fly away, but was stopped by her. She introduced herself as Neve. She liked to watch sunsets too, and wanted to go out to Pantala one day on her own. She told Duskdrift that she'd see him out here, but never knew who he was. Duskdrift tried to fly away again, but knew Neve was definitely more athletic than him, judging by how she wanted to adventure and her lean, muscular build. He tried to ignore her, until she asked about NightWings, and why they had a rivalry with IceWings. Duskdrift explained a brief bit about Darkstalker, since he liked history and reading history scrolls in his free time, and had studied Darkstalker a lot. He was surprised that Neve was actually interested, and began to tell her about the ancient NightWing Kingdom upon request. When it got darker, Neve said she had to go home, but Duskdrift told her his name before she left. The next night, the two met up again, Duskdrift bringing some of his favorite history scrolls and Neve bringing a map of Pantala with notes on it. Duskdrift hasn't told his mom, but after years of loneliness, he finally has a friend. And the two of them are going to make history in Pantala one day, according to all their evening time discussions.
