About

29233745_K6pcfZeAmsnnggF.png

Having moved from Japan to America when she was 18, now-35 year old Teri still retains a deep love for the country she gre up in, and has passed down customs to her thoroughly American husband and family members. Without any kids of her own, she spends a lot of time with her cousin's son, Owen, and the dogs at the shelter she works at. In her free time, she enjoys singing, writing, and fashion.

“The only rule is don’t be boring and dress cute wherever you go. Life is too short to blend in.” – Paris Hilton

She is a very likable and genuinely just a nice person, although she can sometimes be a little self centered. The best word to describe her would probably just be 'cute', honestly, but not in the over-the-top anime way. She also isn't much of a risk taker and prefers sticking to what she's used to rather than trying new things, as she is already very happy and comfortable with her life. If given the chance she'll usually choose to spend time with animals over spending time with humans, but she can be social when she wants to be, and especially loves talking with kids.

Misc Info

Trivia

  • She was originally a joke pen name for me to write crappy Hetalia fanfic under. If you look up her first and last name on Google you can still find it, but don't say I didn't warn you (a few of the things on there written by a friend, so not all are mine, just FYI).
  • She and Gerald have been married in three seperate Tomodatchi Life saves, so I'm positive they are literal soulmates.
  • Her favourite food is strawberry pocky
  • Her aesthetic is pastel
  • She loves to travel
  • Favourite time of day is sunset

Dogs

Working in (owning? haven't worked it out yet) an animal shelter, Teri often finds herself unable to part with animals she's grown attached to. Of course, she can't bring them all home, but she did adopt one for herself: a small white dog named Gilby. It's a pretty chill pupper, and well behaved. If you recognize where I got that name from large props to you because you either know me personally or have done some serious digging into my old Wattpad.

Backstory

Backstory

Raised in Japan with her identical twin sister Traci by her English professor parents, Teri had a surprisingly happy childhood for one of my characters. Her family moved back to America when she and her sister finished high school, and Teri ended up going to an American university to study... something. It was there she met Gerald, who was the Quarterback for the Football team. They really clicked with each other, and were married a year or so after graduation.

More Backstory

Not long after their wedding, Teri learned she was infertile, but Gerald insisted on sticking with her anyway, and the two haven't had many problems in their relationship. They moved back to Gerald's hometown once married, where Gerald became a coach for the high school football team and a teacher, and she started work at a local animal shelter (and eventually bought it? not sure). Between work and travel (her sister moved back to Japan, so she tries to visit often), they have a very happy life together.

Even MORE Backstory

Her cousin Ian moved into the same building she lived in after he divorced his wife, and she spent a lot of time caring for his son, Owen, who became a son to her in many ways. She and Gerald eventually left the building to move to their own house, and decorated a room for Owen to stay in during his frequent visits.

Relationships

Gerald

Husband

Despite their many differences, they work well together, and have built a loving relationship over the many years they've been together. They're very affectionate in that old married couple way, and love exploring the world together. They have date nights every week as well.

Ian

Cousin

They're very close! More like siblings than cousins, really. Considering how different they are and that they grew up a whole ocean apart (geographically), their bond is rather surprising.

Owen

Cousin's son (technically called a nephew!)

She looked after him during the divorce and when his dad is working late. Since she can't have her own kids, he's a sort of surrogate son. She loves him like her own child.
