Zale

The first memory he had when he was young was being alone in the dark cold ocean ; he was crying for not being able to remember anything which scares him. His cry were heard by a group of bull shark, they circled around him checking out his condition. Seeing that he had no where to go, they decide  bring him along and become part of their family. The only memory he had with him was his name 'Zale'. Thanks to his new family, Zale was able to learned various skills from them like hunting, fighting and so on. 

As he grew, Zale realize that he was different from his family. He tried to sharpen his teeth and nails but still no avail. The mother bull shark notice his worries and decide to tell him about his origin of the merfolk in hope to ease the young merman heart. After he learned about his origin, he began to wonder if he will meet his kind in near future?

One day, when he went for hunting, he sees big figure floating on the ocean surface and being curious child he decide to check it out. To his surprise, there's a creature that looks like him, thinking that they're one of him he boldly approach them in his merman form and tries to communicate with them. Instead of receiving a warm welcome, they immediately catch him with the fishing net and tries to drag him inside the boat. Zale become panic and tried to free himself but the net was to strong from him to free himself. The mother shark heard him crying and to his rescue by hitting the boats. 

As her mother attack and distract them, Zale freed himself by using his sharp teeth and nails. As he dive back into the ocean, he smell fresh blood flowing in the ocean and it's none other then his mother being harpoon by the humans. Zale attack one of them to free his mother, due to the struggle his right eyes was slash. He pressed his wound as he watches the human hands getting closer to him, his survival instinct activated where he use his merman voice to drives them crazy and faint. He didn't understand how he did it but it doesn't matter as he need to bring his mother to safety. When they reach to their group, his mother condition had worsen due to the harpoon injuries which lead to her death. Zale blamed himself for his mother death.

After his mother death, he starts to learn about this so called human ; Where they cut their brethren fins, causing them to drown at the bottom of the ocean. Zale hated how cruel the human killed a large amount of sharks where they starting to extinct. In order to protect his brethren, Zale learned how to use his ability where he use his voice to shipwrecked them nearby sandbars or shoals. He never intended to kill them since they're not part of his meal, just thinking of digesting their meat disgust him. While the human in trance, Zale will take the advantage to climb on the boat by transforming into a human to free all the animals back to the sea. As he free the animal, he sees himself in the mirror where he does look like them. He felt sick just looking at his human self, if possible he doesn't want to be one of them.

But the human act did not end there; beside killing, they also polluted their ocean that Zale had no choice but to find out the cause of their act. He decide to swim to nearby land called Trojan Island.
