My perfect reckless lab baby. One of Nacre's successful opal creations, her "twin*" is Contra Luz. Endlessly curious, her experiments are often wildly unnecessary or she'll forget what she's doing halfway through because oH MY GOD LOOK A FROG CONTRA LOOK CONTRA CONTRA CONTRA CONTRA FROG FROG FROG FROG FROG. That said, negative emotions are not her forte. Anger, sure, sometimes. But when Contra Luz starts talking about the sort of experiment that spawned the two of them, she shuts that shit down. Not today. Preferably not ever. Those are complex emotions, my dude.
She gets along famously with Grey and routinely fuses with Contra Luz for no practical reason. B.W. let's them do this because it doesn't affect their productivity and White Fire Opal is significantly more focused than Fi. They'll stay as White Fire for anywhere from a few minutes to a few months, depending on how they're feeling. To be separated from one another would be indescribably painful. They exist in two bodies often, but they have always been one whole.
*Although Fi and Contra Luz are referred to as "twins" by members of the lab, this is a misnomer. Their gems did experience "twinning" during formation, but Nacre separated them before they properly "cooked." As a result, their internal components are all from the exact same dead gem shards, though in varying amounts, but they both emerged with individual forms; they're not twins in the way gems would typically describe it.
