Basically hell, but my boy feels like the name is too intimidating so he always call it "reincarnation center" when interacting with the spirits. Nova worked in the punishing department and didn't quite agree on every policies they had so, eh, a textbook miserable salaryman basically, but he's really good at hiding it behind their uniform masks.

2. Are they an edgelord or a cinnamon roll?
Just a really chilled dude.

3. Do they escort souls to the afterlife?
His coworkers do, but his job was stay in the office and punishing souls who weren't "qualified" enough to pass on with real torture devices or paperworks.

3A. If yes, what do they think of this job?
He'd already applied for a transfer but got rejected after an eternity of queuing. Reasons: Hiring and training new employees is a pain and his experiences in the current department is too valuable.

5. What is their temperament? what about personality types?
An overly polite and welcoming ENFJ, he has the vibe of an elderly who's meeting a great great great grandchild or something. Not that tech-savy and won't get some references from the living world, but he's trying okay   Used to get angry easily over the dumb and cruel shits people do in their life but the long employment has made him numb to most of the thing and he usually react to tragedy like a doctor reading medical record now.

Making papercut art and origami out of the souls' traumatizing memories

7. What is their aesthetic that they would like?
Pastelcore and yamikawaii after he's been fired. Otherwise, he always wear suit while working

8. What symbols do they have? 
Origami and papercut snowflakes/ flowers, it's handmade!

9. What are their fave colors? do they like the color black?
Heck yes black! Mostly because it's a uniform color which looks professional, otherwise if they let him wear whatever he wants he'll just walk out in a pastel pink bath robe with golden embroidery and hot pink unicorn slippers.

10. What are their fave animals? are these animals symbollic for them? are these animals considered omens in the world of the living in their universe?
Komainu! (or lion dog statue) The spirits are usually scared shitless from them, so Nova kept several of them to help with work and the motif is also on his mask. They's also very cute.

11. I think the death seasons are winter (more common i think) and summer (underused in my opinion, perfect for a fire elemental). is ur oc associated with either one of these seasons? what about fall (i think this could be a neutral element since it is the opposite of spring)?
Haven't think about this yet but summer would be perfect for it's creepy cicada sound and depressing sunset color, also rainy season for the aesthetic!

12. What elements are they associated with, if any?
Plants, y'know, body decomposing and mother nature took over, funeral flowes etc

13.  What is their alignment?  Is this different from the alignment that mortals tend to assign to them?
Neutral good, which is considered an illness amongst the lawful neutral employees. In my culture people are use to assign these guys to lawful evil/neutral or something too, so there's that.

14. Is there a personification of Life in their universe? What do they think about this personification of Life and what does Life think of Death?
Technically the organization are both life and death at the same time but they don't even call themselves death soooo. The people in punishing and escorting department do think punks from reincanation arrange office has it easy though. Nova's pretty neutral about it

15. If they are from a universe where deities are a thing, are they perceived similarly or differently from other kinds of deities?  Do they get along with other deities?  Do mortals treat them the same or differently from other kinds of deities?
Brain exploded. But his coworkers defs would hate any deities that cause mass destruction or distress which would cause more workload on their ends. Mortals probably would treat him like other deities although he'll be the lesser popular option to go to for praying or worshipping since he himself don't bring any good luck or grant any wishes, they probably won't know about him anyway since Nova don't really leave his office. Someone might try to bribe him to get a better next life though. 

16. If they are perceived as or act as any kind of antagonist, is this reputation deserved? Is their title of antagonist acquired from a means other than being a personification of death?  If they are an antagonist, are they closer to a traditional villain who enjoys destruction, or are they more like an antivillain who represents death as one of the forces of nature/a necessary part of the cycle of life and death?
Cancelled for being capitalists lmao. Jokes aside, some simpletons might see him as the big bad evil guy just for having a job that related to death, and Nova do thinks he and the organization deserved some of the hate too for the dumb policies like: "people who committed aliven't shall be torture" etcetera

17.  Do they have other duties besides being a personification of death?  If they are a deity of death, are they a deity associated with other things as well? (ex god of life and death, god of death and war)
Yup, cleaning up and inputting souls data every Saturday, training new trainees too! 

18.  When mortals portray a personification of death in art/writing/etc how closely does this interpretation match your character? Are there any noticeable differences or similarities?  Do they look similar?
The portraits in buddhism art match pretty closely thanks to the masks he had to wear, one noticeable difference is Nova wears suit to work, not just putting on a thongs and call it a day   

19.  What are some interesting powers/abilities/traits that they have?  Do they have magical powers?  What kind of magic do they know?
Nova can materialize memories and emotions from the souls and manipulate it like paper. Other than that, he can interacts with souls just like his coworkers

20.  If they reside in an area related to the afterlife/underworld, how did they get here?  Do they rule over this place?  Do they wish they could reside somewhere else?
He was born from fragments of energy the reincarnated souls left behind which accumulated over ages. It's a way for the sentient realm to clean itself up. He and his coworkers are much denser than a normal soul, hence their ability to handling it.
