Driftingshadow

As an apprentice Driftingpaw couldn't wait to finally go into battle and fight against the other clans but after a couple moons she finally gets her wish. She was so pumped, her adrenaline rushing and she became so bloodthirsty in the moment that she murdered an enemy warrior. This shook her so much that she was frozen in place just staring at what she had done but in that moment another enemy warrior jumps in and kills her in renenge. Now as a spirit staring down at the damage she'd done and watching the spirit of the cat she killed glare at her before following their starclan guide, she at first doesn't hear or notice that a warrior from Starclan had come to claim her. The figure calmly tells her that they must go now and leave this battle in the past but she refuses to go, the guilt and shame weighing her down to the point she yells at the starry warrior to send her to the Dark Forest instead as she deserves, but the starry warrior refuses. She tells the Starclan cat to leave her there and the warrior sadly accepts after a few more urgent tries to get her to join their ancestors as there is only a short window of time they have before the power of Starclan weakens and the gap between the living and deceased must be closed. Reluctantly the starry cat disappears back into the stars with a sad look in their eyes leaving Driftingpaw, later that night named Driftingshadow to her sorrow forever.

Driftingpaw would have stayed at that spot all night reliving those horrifying moments if it weren't for the morning border patrol coming to survey their new territory and removing the other clan's scent along with the smell of battle. She learns that the death of Wildwing, the cat she killed, helped them turn the tide of battle and she was given her warrior name Driftingshadow in honor of her might and bravery. This sickened Driftingshadow who knew that they didn't know the full truth and she was just s full blooded murderer who didn't deserve a place in the stars let alone a warrior name.

She now wanders the land. Maybe watching over the the family of Wildwing, the cat they took from them too soon or trying to send ominous warnings to foolish apprentices going down a dangerous path.
