Faust

Faust is a plague doctor that is known for his often rough methods of healing.
He is very selfish in his way of approaching medicine and seeks his personal victory over a sickness but doesn't concern too much with the patient's comfort, regardless he is a genius at his job, even if people don't like his methods they know they work . During an epidemic beggars can't be choosers.
Never was seen without his plague mask outside, at times he doesn't wear it he wears a smaller face mask but only a few people even caught a glimpse of that as he wears it at his little clinic where at night he does research work.

Nobody, except for Faust knows where the scar came from, If people get a chance to ask him each time the story is different, "Fell on an amputated bone", " A rabid cat/bird/hedgehog/goose/goat/dog/child attacked me", I fell from a horse", "I fell ..[insert reason here]" etc.. 

Faust lives in Italy, but his family is originally from Germany thus his given name was kept as Faust and not Fausto, some locals often ask adapt his name how they please but he actually hates that and makes sure it is known. He will go out of his way to correct them on it.
