Satellite.exe was created to work on space research by a scientist, Ashley Nova. He helps to collect and sort the information gathered by the Bubble Observatory. A job that Satellite seems to appreciate a lot, as he is always happy and enthusiastic, for the own pleasure of the scientist working with the observatory. The friendship between Satellite.exe and Ashley becomes greater with the passing years working here, to such an extent that they become inseparable.
His operator Ashley, being a very hard worker, ends up taking time off after overworking herself, which worries Satellite a lot, even if there is nothing severe. During the time off, an event will append that will strengthen their friendship even more.

A strange organization gets in touch with the duo to test a new battle chip: the big bang chip. They explain this is an overpowered battle chip that would enhance netnavi battles and allows incredible fights. Being bored and wanting to discover the world of battles, Satellite begs his operator to accept the offer. Ashley accepts, but she has a bad feeling about it.

Once they arrive at the testing location, the organizators explain the entire process, which will reassure Ashley. A random drawing is done to know which netnavi will be able to test the chip first and lands on Satellite.exe. Once everything is ready, the process is started, Satellite.exe uses the chip against his opponent... and everything goes wrong: Every participating netnavis touched by the chip launch, as well as its user, are like rebooting.

The organizators are trying their best to save them, but in vain, except for Satellite and two others. One of them got the idea to create a copy of them, and delete the rebooting one. Despite some data loss, they are saved! Which wouldn’t be the case for the others participant. The organization apologies for the accident, give indemnity to the victims by giving them their strongest and working chip, gives up on working on the big bang chip, and decide to close the organization once they finish with a "problem"… the original rebooting copy of satellite.exe glitched while trying to get deleted, which gave birth to a new and strange Netnavi, that will later be referred to Singularity.exe.
