PERSONALITY
Rook is a brilliant and hardworking academic and scientist. The stress of her accident and subsequent descent into crime has made her high-strung and neurotic, and she seems to be more in her shell than before.
She has an anxious personality, which was only exasperated by losing her job, her life, and turning to crime to stay alive.
BACKSTORY
While interning at a subsidiary of Wayne Enterprises, Dina was injured in a lab accident. The doctor she assisted was working on developing invisibility tech for military applications. While they were finding no success in inorganic research, they were able to make a small breakthrough on living creatures using genes from specific animals with similar properties (camouflage, "glass skin", etc). The compound had no effect on inorganic materials and thus, after being overexposed to the chemicals, only Dina's body has been rendered (partially) invisible.
After the accident, Rook was framed as having sabotaged the company's work and a warrent was put out for her arrest. Jervis found her only days after, and offered to assist her in hiding. Now, with his help, she is using her time and "earnings" as a criminal to continue her mentor's research, hoping to stabilize or even reverse the effects.
ABILITIES
Invisibility - Her body fluctuates between a state of visibility and invisibility. Her bones are affected to a lesser degree and thus are often left opaque for a short while the rest of her body is disappearing, sometimes creating a cheshire grin effect when her teeth remain visible. This fluctuating visibility is highly unstable and unpredictable, and has no effect on her clothing.
Education - Decent knowledge of human anatomy, genetics, and biology.
TRIVIA
- Dina is named after Alice's cat, Dinah, from the 1951 movie. Her last name comes from chess, hence her nickname, which is also a reference to the cheshire cat.
Jervis Tetch AKA "Mad Hatter"

Dina is indepted to Jervis but she doesn't necessarily trust him. He's a shady figure at best and a murderer-at-large at worst, but his Wonderland Gang feels like the perfect kind of misfits for Dina to live with as she learns about her new powers.
Harriet Pratt AKA "March Harriet"

Dina and Harriett get along particularly well. Ever since Dina's recruitment into the Wonderland Gang, Harriett has acted like an older sister figure toward her. They have similar wonderland themes, and both were offered help from Jervis in exchange for their work.
