G rid-777 is the 7th prototype of his design and the only succesful build to survive in the deep pressures of space and gain sentience. Because of the important job and status he is consistently spoiled by the Europa Labs, giving him whatever he wants in order for him to comply with the job. He is a rich spoiled brat that has an attitude towards anyone, never really seeing them on his level and constantly demands respect. Despite this he is incredible at his job and indeed takes it seriously.

Very rounded build yet relatively skinny if you were to take off his armor plating (not advised)
Gelatin substance in belly, palms and limbs. This gel gives Grid humane senses
Eyes and mouth are customizable and are projected off the screen rather than in the screen
Big claw gauntlets and big boots for terraforming and space travel

Grid's 'grids' are able to be used as locators or regular screens like a computer
can taste through stomach, hear and smell through antenna, and able to feel everywhere
the 3 stripes on his suit have access to his wires, levers, and buttons
circle pad holding his antenna can be used to broadcast messages into space.

Doom is more the body that hosts Gloom who is Grid's actual partner. Grid's feelings towards doom as a person is irrelevant.
Met at a bot fighting match Grid was watching. They both made eye contact and had a 'love at first sight' moment. Gloom stands for almost all the things Grid hates yet Grid finds it enduring for unknown reasons.
