Brock is Duke's neighbor. He has never had a formal conversation with Duke or her parents but they live on respectful, distant terms. Brock has shown to be very scary, and almost nobody in the neighborhood wants to mess with him. They also think he's a little delusional.
About
Brock is generally a good guy who loves his daughter and fights hard and passionately for what he believes he is right. He can be kind, generous and protective when he wants to be. Thing is though, due to grief and delusion, he is a little heavy handed with his politics and beliefs. He is your run of-the-mill infowarrior who sports extreme, right-wing slogans.
Why the way he is
People have labelled him crazy, and he is a little aware of the apprehension, but there is a reason to his madness. His wife was killed by a high-profile Mors and her death was erased from the records. He couldn't trace her death anywhere, he never got to see her body. He knows shes dead, but government officials have been secretive and unhelpful with his pursue for closure. Stricken with grief, he falls on his politics. He tumbles down rabbit holes of absurd right-wing bullshit about the answers of the universe to explain his wife's death. Blaming democracy and the universe, he blasts the government and everyone around him for being crooks and sheep. He doesn't know what Mors is or any of the afflictions, but he knows something is suspicious in Dora Falls, and he is prepared to gun down anyone who endangers him and his daughter.
Tadhana
As Duke's neighbor, Brock serves a big plot obstacle. Duke knows his gun-loving, hyper-paranoid behaviour and if she showed any of her Nihilo abilities to him, he'd wipe her clean off the Earth. He is suspicious of everyone he is in contact with, even Duke. He keeps himself in check though because his daughter loves playing outside with Duke and he wants nothing more but for his daughter to be happy.
Trivia
- He owns at least 4 guns. Duke has only seen one of them.
- He hasn't told Charlee about her mom's death. He's too heartbroken to try. She knows though.
- He served in the Army for 4 years to pay for his college tuition. He ended up majoring in Engineering.
- His middle name is Edward. Absolutely no one is allowed to call him Edward/Eddy unless you're his wife or bestfriend.
- In his freetime, he enjoys trash romcoms and 2000's movies. It's a comfort to him, and it reminds him of his wife.

Charlee [ Daughter ]
He loves her to death. After losing his wife, he dedicates most if not all of his time to her. He wants nothing more but to make sure Charlee grows up happy and strong.
Duke [ Next-Door Neighbor ]
The news of Duke's parents dying circulated the neighborhood and obviously he was one of the first to know. He's always kept an eye on her, but his suspicions rise when he realized his daughter has taken a liking to Duke. He is not fond of the idea of Charlee interacting with Duke, but he keeps to himself. Duke has proven to be a good impromptu babysitter.
