An ordinary hunter. He hunted all kinds of animals with his sharp claws and incomparable agility. Although his tribe had laws about respecting nature and hunting only when necessary, he did it for fun. One day, he set out to hunt the largest animal ever hunted: a deer.
Because of its speed and strength it was almost impossible to hunt. He did not give up and when he finally had it, a voice distracted him, allowing the deer to not only escape, but to attack him and leave him seriously wounded. The voice belonged to a forest spirit that, as punishment for his senseless hunting, condemned him to spend the rest of eternity as a guardian of the forest, being immortal until he achieved the goal of respecting and caring for nature.
Many will believe that eternal life on earth is a gift. Not for him, it was a condemnation, the worst of all - he had no friends, let alone a real home. When he tried to return to his tribe, everyone treated him like a monster and he was, at least because of his physique.
No one wanted to get close to him, or talk to him. Year after year, he got used to that and learned to be alone, in the company of the animals and the silence of the forest. It was not something he really liked but if he had to live the rest of his days like that, he would have to be optimistic.
As a guardian, he has the task to take care of the forest at all costs. Kill if necessary. After years as a hunter he had no problem with that, even so, it felt wrong to do so.
In reality, he was not so alone, there were more guards. Every year, they would get together to talk, sort of like a meeting. Which, over the years, became the most important and fun event. The only day I could enjoy.
He has not spoken to her since he became a hunter. She didn't approve of that and he knew it, which is why they drifted apart and stopped communicating. But deep down, he has a deep affection for her.
Another guardian, they buy the same conviction, albeit with different reasons. Cosmo helped him get ahead and feel good about himself. On each guradian's feast (every year) they meet again and a star shower occurs. They are inseparable and love to talk about their problems with each other.
He met him during a guardian battle. Zedock was helpless and he took care of him for a while. They became close and shared funny moments, the problem was that Zedock was not from there and had to go to his own planet. This generated strong arguments between Bark and Cosmo (Zedock and Cosmo are enemies).
