Angeline

Personality/Bio:

Angeline is a very sweet Mothcat. Even though she is young, she has a nurturing and motherly way about her and she wants to take care of everybody. When she found her magic cornucopia that produces an endless supply of food (clearly a fairy object), she vowed to use it to help anyone who is hungry. She knows that one tiny Mothcat can't end world hunger all alone, even with a magic cornucopia, but she does the best she can. On the other hand, Angie doesn't take any crap from anyone either. She is protective and has a sharp tongue, fang or claw for anyone who is rude or nasty to her or anyone she cares about or tries to hurt them. She's a tough momma kitty.  But it takes bad behavior on someone else's part to drive her to that. Normally she is very good-tempered.

As for her background, Angeline was born in Morel Hollow, but she was always curious about the nearby islands and the humans that lived there. When she was a teen, she went over to Aldor to see them for herself and ended up hitting it off with a really nice family who wanted to keep her. However, she considers Aldora her true home, so she decided to become a part-time pet for the family. She comes and goes as she pleases, sometimes staying with the humans for days or weeks at a time, but always returning back to Morel Hollow. Sometimes she brings Chipper along, although he won't go in the house. He stays in the yard and the humans come out to see him.

One other interesting fact - she technically hates being called Angie.  I do it all the time, and so does pretty much everyone else at one time or another, but she really doesn't like it. She just prefers her full name as she thinks it's prettier. She knows it's not really a big deal, so she doesn't call anyone on it, but any time the dreaded nickname is mentioned in her presence, she has an involuntary reaction of wrinkling her nose and frowning at the person who said it. This look will pass in a moment and she will continue on with whatever she was saying or doing as if it never happened. Many people feel bad about this when they realize, so they tend to try to sprinkle a few mentions of her full name in there to make her happier again.

Relationships:

Chipper: Best friend/life partner; Angie met Chip when they were both young teens and the two have been inseparable ever since. Their friendship has just always felt right and natural to them and neither can imagine life without the other anymore. Angeline's calm and gentle manner and her good sense are just what a sometimes hyper and impulsive Mothcat like Chipper needs to keep him in check, and Angie always has fun when Chip is around, even if she often has to get him out of a jam. They live in the same tree, although Angie's nest is in the trunk near the middle and Chip's is up in the higher branches, and everyone speculates about when they'll get married. As for Chip and Angie, they are not planning to get married and are not romantic at all (though who can say what may happen someday?), so they just laugh at silly rumors like that.

Kittens (still-to-be-named): Angie and Chip's new babies whose personalities are still being discovered. Chipper agreed to be their father because Angeline has always wanted to be a mother and has never been able to convince a parentless Mothkitten to let her adopt it (though she does love her tween adopted kids), and she was getting more and more sad as time went on. Because of their unique relationship, Chip and Angie asked Falena for magic cocoons instead of having them the traditional way, which would have been too weird and uncomfortable for them. So far Angeline is doting on the babies and loves to cuddle them all the time.

Figaro: Adoptive son; Angie and Chip found Figgy living alone on the streets during a trip to see Angie's human family, and they managed to convince him to come home with them and be part of their family. Angie is so happy to have a kitten of her own, even if he's nearly an adolescent and somewhat unruly. It's always a struggle for her to get Figgy to eat anything healthy since he is obsessed with sweets, and he and Angie often butt heads, but underneath it all, they do really love each other. By the end of the day, they always manage to put their disagreements behind them.

Momoch, Paddy, Citadel and Egglett: Friends; Angie actually feels very motherly towards these four because, even though Egglett is the only one who's technically a baby, they are all small and cute and some of them seriously need someone to look after them (Paddy especially is always getting into mischief), so they bring out her nurturing instincts.

Asta: Angeline feels bad for what the princess has gone through, so she's always polite and to Asta and shows respect for her rank while also encouraging her to learn and grow as a person. She would like to see Asta become a more well-rounded and happy individual.

Cam: Friend; Angie likes Cam's zest for life and her apparent intelligence, but seeing what happens with some of Cam's inventions (like the pogo cane) makes her worry that Cam might get herself into trouble one of these days, so she always carefully keeps an eye on Cam in case she needs help.

Nahbi: Like many others, Angie doesn't really know what to make of Nahbi yet, but she's decided to like him anyway and include him in the group's activities if he'd like to come along.

Hazelnut: Companion; Angeline once rescued this chubby little squirrel from the cold and snow on a dark winter night, and gave her a warm place to sleep and something to eat. Hazel has never left - she vowed to stay by Angie's side to show her gratitude. Of course, after enough time had passed, the little squirrel forgot about the vow and simply stayed with Angie because they'd grown to be good friends. Hazel is a clever and faithful companion, happy to help with anything from cooking to babysitting, and anything in between.
