Exy Lad's helmet has the consistency of an actual lobster, but is much more sturdy.He speaks in an Australian accent.
While wearing his helmet, he can communicate with crustaceans.
His favorite food is not steak or lobster—it's a tie between breaded mushrooms and macaroni and cheese.
PERSONALITY
He's very energetic and friendly—the type of guy you'd love to have a party with. He's not a very well-renowned hero, and nobody really knows him as a person, either. Because of this, he struggles with his own self worth a lot. He really wishes he could find friends.
He's incredibly confident and forward, believing that good will prevail no matter what. He's trusting, kind, and is very geeky if you get to know him. He could ramble about other heroes for hours.
DESIGN NOTES
The helmet and visor are necessary.
The claw hands are not necessary, but encouraged.
His visor is yellow, not clear.
No character should ever know him as Henry. If you draw other characters with him, make sure they refer to him as Exy or Exy Lad.
BACKSTORY
ORIGINS
Exy Lad was born in Backland to a working mother and a sailor. Since his father always sailed and his mother was always working, he was neglected, he spent all of his time at the ocean, admiring it. One day, while walking along a beach, he was attacked by a villain and, by sheer luck, a hero was nearby to save him. Incredibly grateful, he went back home safely. After a year passed since that happened, and him working as a waiter, he realised that what he was doing wasn't enough—and what he wanted more than anything was to be there for people. Since lobsters were his favorite animal, he designed a costume based on them and vowed to protect the people of Backland for as long as he lives.
THE NOW
Now, he's a waiter by night, and a hero by day. He certainly isn't the most skilled hero, but helping people is what he loves most, and being a hero was the easiest way to do just that.
