Shae

Shae is a very quiet and highly self conscious Faun. He has a very low self esteem and it’s mostly due to him having an awful flavor. After all, who in the right mind would enjoy the flavor of Skunk Spray? It’s something that’s hindered him from being as close to others as Candy Faun like to be. He can’t exactly appeal to anyone when his existence is quite honestly to disgust people, so he mostly keeps a distance. He doesn’t like to be told how bad he is or that he smells strange, it’s just something he can’t really help, it’s embedded into his flesh and bones to be unattractive and he just kind of accepted it. The only good thing about being so awful is that no one really messes with you. At least no one messes with him because even though he seems like an easy target for harassment, he will use what he’s been given to get back at anyone who bothers him. It’s easy to play nasty tricks on others when your very being is a nasty trick. He’s not really a mean spirited person with ill intent, he’s just an unfortunate faun who can’t really catch a break. He tries to avoid being the center of attention and doesn’t really go out of his way to talk with others. He mostly just wants to avoid a situation before it happens, rather than try and see how things go. Thus the only friends he has are one’s that have gone out of their way to keep in touch with him. His friends at the cafe helped him get a decent job, starting with something he’s comfortable doing and sometimes asking him to step out of his comfort zone to help push him past his fears and anxieties. Though he hates working in the front, where all the people are, he does have a bit more confidence in himself when he is around his friends, so he will just grit his teeth and go do his job. Maybe someday he will finally get over the difficulties of what he was born with and he will find a way to be happy despite his bad taste.
