PERSONALITY

Alexis is anxious. Scared. But above all, sweet and friendly. She's the type to apologise to an inanimate object for bumping into it. Her mouth runs a mile a minute when she's under pressure, her babbling often peppered with "oh dear" and "oh goodness". She's also incredibly observant, and considers that her best feature. She's far too aware of the subtle nuances of daily life and poised to flee at the slightest sign of conflict. A people pleaser, they call her, but isn't it better to get along with everyone than end up alone?

It's easy to call her non confrontational, and easier still to call her a coward (she'd agree with you). But she'll use her perception to cheer you up and cheer you on, and her heart's always focused on others. She cares deeply for those she's close to, and is always willing to expand her circle. Always putting up a cheerful front to hide her insecurities, she's a little lost, a little scared, maybe even a little jaded; but at the end of the day, she's just a timid girl trying to get by in the world--it's just that she often trips over herself in the process.

STORY

Alexis grew up in a Nemonian city. Raised by parents rather high on the corporate ladder, she went to good schools, had standard social circles, and was never left wanting for anything… except a peaceful family life.　While she never doubted her parents' love for her, she often questioned how they felt for each other. They fought often due to the stress of their jobs, and Alexis developed a peacekeeping, meek personality as a result. She often retreated to friends' houses to escape the tense atmosphere of her own home.

Things did not get easier when Alexis struggled to pick a career path due to not wanting to follow in her parents' footsteps; if the high stress jobs they wanted her to do made her end up like them, she preferred death. Without a goal in mind and no one to guide her, she drifted through much of her high school life. Even her chosen major in university, creative writing, she picked for fun, rather than for future plans.

After losing contact with her friends after high school, Alexis became a jaded version of her former self. She didn't know what she wanted to do with herself, and what she was doing anything for. She coasted through two years of university stuck in the past, becoming lost, lonely, and confused.

And then she met Mitty.

Now forced to spend time together thanks to this assignment, will the two learn to become friends, or will both their grades and their relationship crash and burn?
