Peace and serenity, that's all Gottschalk is about. Expressing himself with confidence, being a protector of churches and edifices pleases him; one could say he was made for this duty.
Moving across the sky with his son, Gottschalk believes he knows everything and anything better than him - and than everyone, to be honest. With a strong hold over him, he wouldn't mind using his strength to have his son bow down to his authority.
But once people start to notice how toxic you truly are, you can't escape forever.
