Aumaan

Aumaan is a mysterious historian and university professor. He comes off as scary to new students and intimidated to others, especially with his gravelly voice and tendency to talk to himself. In actuality, he is a nice person but rather quiet unless spoken to. He tends to zone out when deep in thought and forget what he's doing. He's always happy to talk about his favorite topics.

Au has a deep fascination for all things mystery and horror; he's super into cryptids and the paranormal. He loves watching horror movies and reading mystery novels. He's neutral about aliens but still enjoys hearing theories about them. Because he's so used to it all, he is fearless towards many things and very difficult to scare. He is unphased by jumpscares and scary design tropes. (It doesn't stop his students from trying every Halloween, though!)
When faced with something scary, Au tends to severely under-react with a flat "oh, alright" or similar.

There are many strange things that Au does in his free time that only fuels the spooky university rumors about him. He's always wandering out on late nights and goes hiking in the mountains a lot. He often doesn't explain why, but he simply enjoys late night walks and is hoping to maybe find some cryptids. Due to his dark fur and tendency to be out at night, he accidentally scares others and has made it a point not to silently approach people.

Au doesn't like talking about his family much and seems to even think lowly of them. His family lineage carries a dark secret that he keeps well-hidden. With the passing of his late father, he now hopes to have it forgotten to time.

Many people have no idea how to pronounce his first name, so Au just gave up on it and stopped caring forever ago. It's either his last name or simply "Ow."

- Aumaan had a graverobber and thief for a grandfather.
- his family was in possession of a lot of stolen artifacts and stuff
- his family may or may not have been cursed because of that
- Aumaan is trying NOT to be cursed
- he also has opulent tastes that he tries not to give away! he likes the shinies (but they are legal shinies and not stolen ok)
- the dude sleeps standing up
- and when he closes his eyes at night, he just kind of disappears into the darkness
- honestly kind of scary to bump into him when he's like that
