Akira Goregurn is the last member of the Koraijju species; anthropomorphic wingless dragons. The males of the species usually became mighty warriors while the females stayed to care for young. Akira, however, chose the more violent side after her parents were murdered in the monster/human war when she was younger. King Asgore took her in and she taught herself how to become a samurai both from remembering watching her father and reading a book on samurai warriors. Akira met Grillby only by a stroke of luck. The place that she usually ate lunch at suddenly closed down for unknown reasons; leaving the dragon lady angered. She asked Undyne if she had any suggestions for where she could eat, and she recommended a place called “Grillby’s” in Snowdin. It was farther away than her usual place of interest, but she thought it couldn’t hurt to at least try to go. Once she walked into the bar, the man behind the counter immediately caught her eye. Not just because he was made of fire. The warm glow around him seemed...comforting. Welcoming, in a way. The two ended up hitting it off pretty well after they started conversing. Akira ended up coming back day after day to eat lunch and eventually, her and Grillby got together.
