Beast Pearl was supposed to be a Pearl meant for a Sapphire, but due to Beast Pearl being undercooked, she was on the path to be shattered. Beast Pearl didn't want to accept this fate, and broke out of captivity as soon as eyes turned away from her.
Since then, she lived in the deep recesses of Gem Homeworld's abadoned Kindergartens alongside other Gems that were different by her, where she met an overcooked Ruby whose gusto and brash attitude matched Beast Pearl's own.
