Admittedly this isn’t my design - it’s Gzhel porcelain, a specific style of porcelain figure from the Russian region of the same name! 

He’s a gentle, calm-spirited lion with a semi-permanent poker face, kind of like the rabbit character Miffy. As he’s a decorative object, most worldly experiences are new to him. He likes being out in nature and is fascinated by cycles of life, like rain and butterflies.

A lot of his design is up to interpretation - however you (or I) most want to draw him! Is he fluffy? Is he smooth, shiny porcelain? You decide! IRL he’s a few inches long but in drawings can be sized anywhere from ‘large rabbit’ to ‘real life lion’! However, his face should never be over-the-top expressive - there should be an element of mildness, wistfulness, or gentleness about it. You know?? Otherwise, if you want to draw him or I’ve commissioned you, I hope you have fun drawing him however you think is best!
